Dag; i en 800 år gammel skog nord for San Francisco.
Natt; Mt Tamalpais over et skyhav i skumring
Spent a few days playing tourist in San Francisco visiting my sister. Though it's not for me, I'm always fascinated by "city life". The accessibility of nature there definitely reminds me of Austin, though I dare say they have more impressive views.
was the perfect way to get over a totaled car. Cheers to new car shopping! 🚘 🚘 🚘 🚘
The beautiful views of the Pacific coast, unending horizon and....FALSE!
Choose a time to visit when there wouldn't be any fog. Tantalized by the sound of the waves colliding with the rocks...
On the flip side, no one was there 😁 So could be alone with my thoughts, though quickly realized I don't have a lot of thoughts

Tag a friend who needs to take a nice, long road trip. Here's a few shots of the coast and Highway 1 from the Dipsea Trail. The convergence of the Redwoods and the coastline makes for a beautiful setting.
I took my first solo road trip at the age of 19. I left NC in my car driving to Illinois. I remember the mountains and all the scenes of North Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky. With my paper map and printed mapquest direction in my passenger seat I was ready. I’ve been ready ever since. A few weeks ago I traveled to San Francisco, an item on my bucket list. People ask over and over again my favorite part of the trip and my answer Muir Woods for many different reasons. The beauty of the forest, the serenity and history -all 💯 I found myself in awe. One of the most amazing things I witnessed was the determination + strength (not size) of the trees. I noticed that trees had fallen but that didn’t stop their growth. They remained rooted and continued to grow, upward. Amazing. Check out the video. I did experience other great parts of the city, Grace Cathedral, The Ferry Building, Golden Gate Park, The Gardens, Chrissy Field, Nob Hill, Lombard Street and of course, Golden gate Bridge. It was a great trip all and all... but those woods -life changing.

I came across this beauty. She was standing under a tree and looked like a statue. I stopped to stare at her and realized she is for real. She continued to eat in front of me. Brave little deear :)
- when this wonderful #redwoods
are standing in a group, its due to the fact that the original redwood was hurt. These type of trees have 2 ways to reproduce - through seeds or via the roots if the tree is seriously hurt. No wonder they can live up to 2000 years!
