...Mehr will be turning 3 in just two days on the 18th Oct...these images are a major throwback to one year ago when Zaib arrived...this was a beginning to a whole new phase not only for me as a mum but for Mehr as the big sister...she was going to have her mummy shared with another baby... the attention will just not be on her but on another little one too...I was very unsure how she would be at first but there were books, toys and many communications pre hand which I did to prepare her....
Honestly I can say she has been very cooperative...so she would help while I would change Zaibs nappy and pass me everything I need...if I got it myself she would get upset that I didn't let her give it to me...she slowly started to learn to be gentle and use soft hands on baby...she wanted to pick Zaib up all the time...A part of me always thought that am I ignoring Mehr whilst trying to get everything done for Zaib...what is Mehr thinking when she is seeing me hold Zaib and give her love...I think at that point Mehr loved the attention they both were getting and she was giving the attention too to her sister... Lately she has become more noticeable in things and will say mummy no just hold me...I guess this is the beginning of her next phase ...as she turns three ...let's see what the year has in plan for her
MasAllah for these two in my life....

Tired Tuesday!! Full day teaching, followed by the big food shop, went to the post office, collected the baby from his Nanas (who had given him his tea 👌), headed to gymnastics to pick up the 5 year old and then went to her parents evening where the baby proceeded to cover daddy in smashed banana before slipping and banging his head on the super shiny gymnasium floor 🤦. The parents evening was very positive and her new teacher seems lovely. I always have to bite my tongue a little at parents evenings because I tend to go overboard on questions been in the profession myself. I managed to reign it in a little this time and prevented myself from asking what maths scheme they use and just how much time is allocated to outdoor learning now that she isn't in early years (I love outdoor learning and know she is lucky to still have it but I always feel that any primary aged child should have more). Back home to put the shopping away and baby to bed and sorting out bags for tomorrow, falling over each other as we each deem our job the most important. Super fast tea of omelettes and oven chips, cue a massive pile of washing up (How do omelettes and oven chips create so much washing up??!!). Time for a horrid Henry episode with the 5 year old and a bedtime story then tackling the pile of washing up and folding the washing. Make us a cuppa to enjoy in bed whilst watching bake off, get into bed annnnnd FUCK!!! I've forgotten to make the kids packed lunches for tomorrow 😐. #notenoughtimeintheday #reallife #tiredtuesday #mummyof2 #wife #mycuppahasgonecold #thisisus #chaos #butiwouldntchangeathing #readyforabreakthough #halftermholidaysnextweek
How beautiful is this little mans dribble bib .. he seems pretty happy with it, plus it’s dinosaurs and I love anything dinosaur 😍
I’m enjoying so much being a Mummy of 2 and Josiah is making it so easy for me with his chilled nature. Continuing to feed well and put on further weight now weighing 7lbs 6oz.
The joy I feel outweighs the tiredness and I couldn’t ask for a better job!

MANGO is back peeps! And it’s literally my favourite food 🤤
So you’ll be seeing it a lot over the next few months.
Does anyone know where I can get a whole tray for cheap?
What would you like to see me do with mango?
And would anyone like the recipe for this salad I made last year that I’m pretending is my lunch today? (As opposed to coffee because time, mess, washing and #mumlife
♡ Took Penny to bed, sat next to her read her a story, placed my phone on the bedside table so not to get distracted. We say goodnight and off I go to see to the baby. Penny usually makes the funniest sound when she’s going to sleep, she just hums until she’s fallen asleep. After 10 minutes it suddenly went quiet and I thought wow she went down quick today... go to get my phone and there she is, my 2 year old managed to get my phone through the bars of her cot, unlock my phone and find YouTube kids 🤦🏻♀️ I mean just how?! Parents be careful out there, the kids are watching everything we do 😩 ♡
Aww look at how cute Ava is kissing her baby brother ... where in reality she has just hit him in the face and now I’m making her say sorry 🙄😂
What’s that you say.... a child hoovering their bedroom? I don’t believe it! Well even I was shocked, my youngest is seriously hardwork and getting him to help me with jobs helping out around the house is very rare but thanks to @gohenry
I can set jobs for pocket money and the kids LOVE it 😍I came out of the bath to find my youngest hoovering his desk! 😂 bless him.... give it a try #mummyof2 #gohenry #pocketmoney #mummyblogger #kidshelpingoutmom
Balance is not something you find, it’s something you create 🤗
A must routine for us mums...with hectic long days...and nights we do tend to forget to look after ourselves. Handling many responsibilities, taking care of the household, our children and tons of other things we get through the day... it seems to just never end...you finish one job and many others wait in the list to be done! I guess this is what motherhood is like... yet it's not motherhood it involves handling many other responsibilities as a daughter, sister, friend and another most important a WIFE... I think a modern woman is an example of been the the woman she can be and managing everything so well. She knows very well how to balance...
Though please I do request mums to please make time for yourself ...sometimes something as little as having time to do your hair can put a smile on our faces...take care of your skin too...it matters...you matter... we are nothing with our mums...
My mummy routine...I'm using the @palmersuk
firming body butter to ensure that my body gets all the moisture it needs...I started my routines during my pregnancies and have been using same products... @palmersuk
tummy butter is amazing for dry skin, and most importantly taking care of those stretch marks...those power marks women that we all gain throughout our pregnancies...it and helped to lighten them and leaving my skin extra smooth. I must say I have used a combine set of products which includes the body butter, tummy stretch cream and another which is the @biooiluk
I'm using the @origins
nighttime rescue mask for my skin to keep radiant as that's the only time I do have where I can put a mask on and what's best then using a mask which can stay on your skin for the whole night and do the trick !
For my eyes...I do have sensitive skin so this @simpleskin
eye roll on helps to give that refreshing feel under the eyes and make my eyes look fresh...

I just want to thank and appreciate all our sheroes who have fought and continue to campaign for women's rights, including the right to vote, to hold public office, to work, to earn fair wages or equal pay, to own properties, to receive education, to enter contracts, to have equal rights within marriage, and to have maternity leave. Our sheroes who have also worked to ensure that we have access to legal abortions or whatever else we want to do with our bodies, because it is ours. Our sheroes who protect women and babies from rape, sexual harassment, and domestic violence. Thank you so much!!! Via @diaryofanaijagirl
"For the younger set who turn up their noses at the words feminists and feminism or scoff that feminism is a dirty and utterly pointless word please read this and realize the following list is of SIX things a woman couldn’t do in 1971 – yes the date is correct 1971.
In 1971 a woman could not:
1. Get a Credit Card in her own name – it wasn’t until 1974 that a law forced credit card companies to issue cards to women without their husband’s signature.
2. Be guaranteed that they wouldn’t be unceremoniously fired for the offense of getting pregnant – that changed with the Pregnancy Discrimination Act of 1978.
3. Fight on the front lines – admitted into military academies in 1976 it wasn’t until 2013 that the military ban on women in combat was lifted. Prior to 1973 women were only allowed in the military as nurses or support staff.
4. Take legal action against workplace sexual harassment. Indeed the first time a court recognized office sexual harassment as grounds for any legal action was in 1977.
5. Decide not to have sex if their husband wanted to – spousal rape wasn’t criminalized in all 50 states until 1993.
6. Obtain health insurance at the same monetary rate as a man. Sex discrimination wasn’t outlawed in health insurance until 2010 and today many, including sitting elected officials at the Federal level, feel women don’t mind paying a little more.
Oh, and one more thing, prior to 1880 which is just a few years before the photo of this very proud lady was taken, the age of consent for sex was set at 10 or 12
I've been feeling quite guilty since going back to work that I dont have as much time with my 5 year old as my days are taken up with work and my evenings with the tired and clingy 10month old. We have exactly 1 hour together between the baby going to bed and her going to bed and that time also needs to include reading her school book. So when she suggested baking a cake and the baby was happy playing I was happy to oblige despite feeling a bit ropey because we stayed at a birthday party way longer than we should have done last night and I may have consumed one glass of wine too many and had to get up early to go pick up the kids from grandmas. The 5 year old is happy because she made her cake without mummy having to break off to deal with her brother and the baby? Well he happily emptied the washing machine of dirty washing, the bowls from the cupboard and the kitchen bin 🤦. #cantwinthemall #childrensbaking #mummyof2 #makingmemories #wouldntchangeathing #timeisprecious #maketimeformemories #worklifebalance
As a new mummy getting your hair done at the hairdressers or even just drying it with a hairdryer can be a real treat and I haven’t been to the hairdressers since April 😳 it’s got so long! I am off in a few weeks to get it done and I can’t wait! My haircare at the moment consists of washing it every 2-3 days going to bed with it wet when I do wash it, dry shampoo in the morning and off I go.... having time to do much more with it when you have a toddler and 4 month old just doesn’t exist at the moment, so I am wondering what to have done 🤔 keep it long or get it chopped 🤷♀️ #hairdecisions #mummy #notimetodomyhair #notime #decisions #longorshorthair #change #mummylife #mummyofboys #mummyof2
♡ The rain and cloudy weather have me missing summer already 😩 i always preferred winter to summer but once I had children I realised it’s so much easier to parent in the summer 🙈 never bored just go out for a walk at the drop of a hat, the swings and slides at the park are dry. No worries about them getting cold either! Is it just my penny that is refusing to wear a coat? She had a meltdown today because of it. Any tips on keeping the winter fun for kids and less stressful for me I’d be grateful 🙏🏼 ♡
H Y G G E 🍁☕️🏡🌰 Hygge has danish origins, which mean to essentially take time to slow down, enjoy simple things and appreciate being cosy.
A few things related to hygge are ... Soft blankets, oversized jumpers, turning off your phones for a short while, gratitudes, warmth, home, candles, baked food, hot drinks and being comfy.
