Sore neck? Tingling in your fingers? Poor overhead rotation? • Could be stemming from poor tissue quality in your traps. • • It is easy for problems to arise in the traps. With nerves running through tight areas in the branchial plexus to having to help support your head and neck. Right next to a complex shoulder joint, collar bone etc. • • A lot of times the poor tissue quality constricts the nerves that run through the traps and can cause pain in the neck or down the arm all the way down to the fingers. • • Also, poor tissue quality could be contributing to you not being able to get your arm in proper upward rotation. Which is crucial for overhead athletes performance and overall shoulder health. • • The traps get beat up from everyday life and athletic movements. A lot of times you seem individuals with poor posture especially when sitting coming down with these issues. Or with athletes that are violent with their head in athletes. (Throwing athletes, football players, Olympic lifters most frequently) • • To break up the tissue in the traps. You need to apply pressure on the tight traps then go through different range of motions while simultaneously applying pressure to the area. Here is one of the range of motions I am going through that can dramatically help start breaking up that bad tissue quality in your trap. • If you want a professional to do these techniques. Life seems to happen when we are faced with the death of a loved-one. Our bodies and emotional selves are intertwined, making it impossible to not feel emotional pain, sadness, anger and hurt IN the body. • As the owner of Happy Karma™️ Hemp, I share personal stories, but try not to get too personal, as the company is here to help YOU, not talk about us. But since I am on the #selfcare2019 journey with you all, this story may help you, as well. • Surrounding the death and emotional distress of my grandfather and family “stuff”, I threw my lower back out to the point that my spine is crooked and pinching nerves. It is one thing for me to cleanse and purify a space in order to create healing for others. But not taking the time to do so for myself was a detriment to my body and a painful lesson to learn. Lower back pain and weakness represents foundation, structure, family and money emotionally in our lives. When we have pain or dis-ease, it stems from something going emotionally. Maybe even something we have held on to for quite some time. My goal and job for myself, is to reach within and find out what is/was going on so I can deal with it. Not only do I plan to do parts of this on my own, I also plan to have reiki, chiropractic adjustments and accupuncture. • The ONLY things I am using to physically treat the chronic pain is: Using our Happy Karma™️ Hemp Relief (CBD) Salve which is WORKING WONDERS, our Hemp extract (CBD) oil, (doubling from 15 to 30mg for the time being) and either ice or moist heat. That is ALL. No pain meds, no drugs, only Organic reiki-infused CBD. I even found that using a prescription lidocaine patch on Tuesday didn’t do anything, but my salve DID. LEG WORKOUT 🏋️‍♀️ Today was one of those days where all I had planned was squats and from there I just went with the flow🤙🏾 Moved that aren’t shown in the video (but werr part of my workout) are quad extensions, calf raises, and pistol squats.
How NOT To Gain Muscle 101 "Change Up Your Workout Every Week" This myth probably grew from the old bodybuilding magazines which told you to 'shock' and 'confuse' your muscles into growing. However, if you’re chasing muscle growth, you should repeat a workout several times before changing. This doesn’t mean you should never change your program. There is only so much you can fit into a single workout, so you'll need to vary your approach over time to challenge your muscles from different angles and with alternative pieces of equipment. Program variation also has significant motivational benefits, as following the same workout for too long can be very boring! This being said DON'T jump from workout plan to workout plan thinking you are magically going to gain 20 pounds of muscle in a week. Stick to a plan and get the results plain and simple.
