I’m happiest when I can create without a plan. I pour paint onto wood or paper and move it around until feels right to me. I can then carve into the wood with feeling and intuition around the organic shapes that I just created. This is a work I did on paper and I used the end of my pallet knife to make these carved lines with the paint alone. I think ‘works on paper’ will have to be a new section on my site! ✨🤗 I think I’ll add a portfolio section too, just to show history of my work. #workinprogress
A little introductory for all my new followers and some that have followed for a while! Thanks for everyone's continued support! My name is Tabitha and I'm an oil painter and an ink and watercolour artist! I am drawn to high contrast, abandoned, eerie, forgotten and water elements and try to portray them in my pieces! I love being creative and chose to pursue that path in life because it's what makes me Happy! I'm delighted to have found a job working at our towns local Gallery the Station Arts Center where I get the chance to meet, befriend and network with tons of local artists! I hang stunning exhibits, coordinate great art classes for our community and work with artists/artisans of all ages and mediums! I just recently had the opportunity to be a juror for the Woodstock Art Gallery's 60th anniversary of their exhibit Visual Elements, which opened up my eyes to just another process of art! I'm excited to be exhibiting my new works in many new locations this year and am continuously honored to be asked to work on so many wonderful commissions of peoples favourite places and spaces! Keep an eye out for my next shows and pop by to chat!! *

Lol 🙋🏽♀️ ✨ I’ve done some great work this week with clients, put out some amazingly priced and valuable offerings for new clients and overall had a good week! ✨ What great things happened to you this week?! ✨ Anyone do anything majorly exciting like @plushcontentco
Not ready to go back to reality 😭
Had a blast working with the girls at @uncoalphaphi
! Thank you so much for having me! Exciting things in the works 💕✨
I took a power nap in the middle of the city this afternoon. They gave me snacks, juice, pajamas, an eye mask, put me into a fluffy pod with ambient music and told me everything is going to be alright (okay, I made that last little part up but seriously you guys, afternoon napping for the win).
There really is beauty in simplicity!

I got to hold my baby boy for the first time three years ago today. 🐾 He’s just as mischievous, energetic, curious, and goofy as he was the day we brought him home. And even after three years @dunagan15
is still his favorite. 🤷🏻♀️
I dropped off this commission for @sarahsaundersphoto

• BRINGING THE CHILL BACK • | rejuvenation feels like a quiet book, unscheduled time, rolling waves, and a slight breeze that makes you want to take longer breaths. headed back to my New Yorkers with some vigor - but also a fuller cup thanks to a little time like this.
what environments or practices help you rejuvenate?
show of hands if you have compared yourself to someone else on social media TODAY?
recently I took a photography class and the teacher said on the first day’ “there are well composed photos, but there is no such thing as a “good” photo simply because there is no criteria to judge “good.” if you, as the photographer, really like your photo, then it is a good photo.
treat yourself like a good photo. if you like it, then don’t let the number of likes, or followers, or a highlight reel of an unauthentic, edited feed make you feel any less. in fact, get rid of the feed that makes you feel like you are not killing it, and keep on keepin’ on. you are the only you, that is your power!
which got me thinking... what is the point of the “counting” of the likes function on IG? to create a comparison to make you want to post more, spend more time engaging with the app? welp.
what if you saw something that someone was doing, making, selling, etc... in real life that you liked? would you perhaps pay them a compliment?
i was just thinking about the psychological mind fuck of the double tap, the showing of the number of followers, and how counting leads to comparing.
what if instead of counting likes we just leave genuine, kind comments when we see something that resonates with us that leaves people feeling empowered + awesome? get. it.
here is my good photo today. and if you made it through my verbose, random thoughts that are this post, give yourself a pat on the back. #realtalk
Who else is really excited for the Lowcountry Oyster Trail in downtown Bluffton? Love community art projects and our home on the coast! Time for some visual storytelling.
That time where I actually moved to a Caribbean island. #throwback
Throwback to my birthday dinner with my papaw 🎉🎉 21 is already looking pretty great☺️
And to think that at 21 years old, I’m completely financially independent is insane. This business that i started from my cell phone just over a year ago now covers my rent, bills, groceries and other necessities, AND it has paid for all of my vacations this year so far. I don’t know many other recently graduated college students can say they 100% support themselves, and I’m SO grateful that i took this opportunity when it came into my life on my Instagram feed
Now you have the exact same opportunity in front of you and you have 2 choices: roll your eyes and continue to scroll, or decide that you’re ready for a change too. If you want to be able to pay your rent on time without borrowing money from your parents, or you want to go on more trips, or you’re just tired of working so much overtime so you can make ends meet, this is what you need! If you’ve been thinking about starting, or you’re just how coming across the opportunity, IT IS TIME TO TAKE THE LEAP!!!! I can promise you won’t regret it💓 Shoot me a message and let’s chat✨
You guys! When Pearson and I went on our trip last week, we took along #MarriageMoon
(gifted to me from Chelsea of @thenewwifestyle
). Y'all. Everybody needs to take a marriage moon! It was pretty simple to do. There are quick morning and evening routines and questions to ask throughout the day. Plus two "ace dates." But we felt so connected and refreshed after our trip! I highly recommend to any couple but especially if you like to travel and have a trip coming up. She's selling it at a first edition price right now and you get this adorable bonus tote bag! You can order from themarriagemoon.com (I've added a clickable link to the linktr.ee in my profile). P.S. I also wrote a blog post recap of our trip including how we used marriage moon. Check it out!

Cutie little wildflowers beside our bed with the best summer read. Simple joys, y’all 💗 Are they not the best?
I’ve been quiet on here while I’ve been working on some really fun commissions (I’ll be sharing some photos soon!), but just started working on a few new pieces. Stay tuned for more florals, abstracts, and animals 🐢 :)

| Shawty, Where You At? | 6 WAYS TO DATE A BOSS CHICK
Dating is hard. Dating when you’re balancing a full time job, building a biz, managing a staff, raising a child, and trying to find something resembling work/life balance? Yea. That’s hard AF. As two women who are actually doing all of the above, our time is something we must value and we don’t give it away lightly. We aren’t hitting automatic “no’s” but, we’re perfectly content as individuals so, whomever gets access to our softer sides has to come correct. But, how? We’re breaking down 6 things we need as Boss Chicks in a romantic relationship. P.S. pretty sure a few of you fellas will agree as well. —
Hit that swipe! #BXCBaes
1) Have a Little FAITH: Not everyone is spiritual or believes in the same things as us. But, our relationships with God are huge parts of who we are as individuals. If we can’t build on mutual faith, it’s not going to go very far.
2) GOALS Of Your Own: What you working on, boo? We’re both attracted to men who have goals and aspirations of their own and are actively working to achieve said goals. You don’t have to be exactly where you want to be (and Lord knows we aren’t either!) but, having a partner that understands your desire to leave a legacy is a major component in partnership.
3) Make Work Dates a THING: Sometimes we just want to chill in sweatpants with giant cups of tea and a fully charged laptop. But, that doesn’t mean you can’t hop on the WiFi right along with us, right?
4) Be Clear About What You NEED: It takes entirely too much time to read minds. If you need more time, if you want something specific, or if we do something that irks you - speak up. You can’t change what you don’t acknowledge. P.S. sometimes we need to be reminded of this too.
5) Be a SAFE Space: In our work and in a lot of our interactions we feel the need to be tough, assertive, and decisive. That’s a lot to try to be 24/7. Having someone understand that we need affection and a safe space? That means everything.
6) HELP US and Let Us HELP YOU: Whether it’s sending up a prayer before a meeting or helping you knock out a bomb social media strategy, team work makes the dream work.
Makeup Review: Essence Superfine Waterproof Eyeliner Pen (R59) and Liquid Ink Waterproof Eyeliner (R54). When it comes to buying eyeliners, lipliners and mascara's, Essence is my go-to brand. Not only are these products from Essence brilliant quality, but their prices are also budget-friendly.
The Liquid Ink Eyeliner has a semi-thick applicator that distributes product evenly. The actual liquid is smooth, not too watery and pigmented. It takes around a minute to fully dry and it stays in place the entire day - no transfer, no smudging, no cracking and barely any fading. The only con is that this product feels a little tight and drying on my lids. Despite this, I still think this is a great option for those who enjoy thicker lines of eyeliner on their lids. Because the brush isn't tapered, I do have to swipe off some of the excess liquid before application. Repurchase? Probably not because a) I don't like that tight feeling and b) I prefer the Superfine Eyeliner Pen.
The Superfine Eyeliner Pen is a firm favourite. As the name implies, the pen tip is very fine. Similar to the previous eyeliner, the liquid is pigmented, smooth and not too watery. I love this pen because it's perfect for tight-lining above the line. I have semi-hooded eyelids so this product is near perfect for me. The only con is that it sometimes skips on loose skin. Repurchase? Yes!
