Happy Saturday! Halloween is in the house, but confined to the kitchen and family room!😂And nothing too scary either! I do love these construction paper bats my children made when they were little. Each has a clothespin on the back, so I clip them to lampshades.🦇One of my other favorites are the little tin noisemakers in the tray on the table. (Swipe for a closer look.) They belonged to my mother when she was a little girl, so they are vintage in the best way! We will be making some noise ourselves today, cheering for the Tigers! 🐅🏟Hope you are able to enjoy some autumn fun and beauty today! 🍁🍂🎃🦉🧡🏈 #townandcountryhouse
Any big weekend plans? I plan to sit back and enjoy this gorgeous weather with my guys! •

Visualizing and gathering is my favorite thing to do. I have about 4 more items to get for this project and paint! #myblueandwhitestyle
It’s Friday, which means it’s almost the weekend—and that’s worth “raven” about! (Sorry.) Maybe, I’ll just “crow” about it instead! Scary puns, I know, but (swipe) whooo doesn’t like a little fun Halloween decor? I started by adding these frightening fowls to our mantle. Happy Friday! #townandcountryhouse
The fall table is complete.🍁 🍁 And just in time. We have some beautiful, cooler weather in the South this week. It's all on the blog today, woodbanklane.com, or use the link in my profile. ☺️
Who doesn’t love the idea of curling up in this cozy cheetah print chair with a good book?
Chinoiserie pumpkins! Are you a fan? I “painted” this one about three years ago, mostly using a blue Sharpie and filling in with watercolor. I copied a Blue Willow bowl and was so proud of myself for changing the traditional love birds into bats. 🦇 Hats off to the ladies and gents who create chinoiserie pumpkins for others—it’s a lot of work! #townandcountryhouse
Happy Wednesday! The flowers I put together for my Signature Settings tablescape are still hanging on in our dining room. The scale is a little much for our small room, but I can’t bear to toss them just yet. #townandcountryhouse
A little orange, a little green and a lot of blue. I love the way blue elevates and compliments so many colors on the spectrum . Yellows, reds, violets, oranges and of course, green just to name a few. I know it should be time for me to switch out my blues for maybe some more fall-like colors, but I’m just unable to part with them just yet. Happy Wednesday to all! 💙#blues #thecolorblue #blueandwhitedecor #myblueandwhitestyle
This past week our team had the pleasure of visiting @anna_weatherley
’s studio. See more from our visit in our story!
I found these green cabbage plates at the thrift store last week and thought I would save them for spring, but now I am thinking I like them for fall with the pops of orange and yellow. #myblueandwhitestyle #procrastination
Still adding a few fall touches around here, but mostly happy to say that all the big pumpkins I was “storing” on the hearth are now on the front porch. Yay for fall temps and low humidity! 🍂🍁#townandcountryhouse
My table’s #ootd
is a fringed skirt, while my #ootd
is mom jeans?! Lesson learned: when your furniture starts wearing nicer clothes than you it might be time to go shopping! 💳
In all seriousness though, skirted tables will never go out of style #classicstylelivesforever
Not sure that this caption relates at all to this picture except maybe the ship in the painting is sailing into Boston harbor—as are we! Well, actually we’re flying into Logan, but you get the idea! We’re spending a long November weekend there with our younger son to see Clemson play Boston College. It’s both his birthday weekend and an early graduation present. We plan to take in the Freedom Trail and the MFA. We’re staying close to Beacon Hill, and I would love your recommendations on restaurants, shops, pretty walks, and other less touristy things to see and do. Thanks in advance! #townandcountryhouse
X’tra, extra, read all about it! My latest post on Animal print is live on @cobaltandcloth.
Cheetah, zebra and even antelope inspired prints have all found their way into wardrobes and homes. It can be bold or subtle, literal or abstract. There’s something for everyone! Link in bio!
Light Bright and Blue and White! Love everything about this space. Including the huge clamshell planter! Designed by @johndebastiani
I really love not leaving my house 🏡
