w e e k e n d p l a n s: make these turkish eggs with spiced chickpeas & homemade naan! This has quickly become one of my favorite dishes...the naan is so fun to make, the eggs are poached and set on top of creamy yogurt, then drizzled with a very flavorful garlic butter walnut sauce, and lastly topped with feta cheese & herbs. It is SO good and is coming to the blog✨

More blood oranges 🖤Does anyone else feel an intense sense of urgency when it comes to very seasonal fruits and veggies??? I am buying all of the blood oranges I can get my hands on like there’s no tomorrow. This salad is on repeat, and I plan to make my blood orange muffins into a bundt cake this weekend. I’m also thinking of getting wild and preserving some lemons. Can’t stop and won’t stop with all the seasonal citrus 🍊🍋✨ Happy Friday!
Salad details: blood orange + cara cara orange + roasted sweet potato + shaved fennel + avocado + watercress + miso-sesame-ACV dressing + seeds ‘n things.

Undeniably, one of the best things about Winter is the abundance of citrus! 🍊 It’s a bite of refreshing, juicy sunshine amidst the dreariest and coldest season. This winter citrus and fennel salad is bursting with crisp, clean flavors and lots of flavor and texture. I teamed up with @Zevia to create this simple and soul-satisfying salad and with the creamiest, tangy yogurt dressing using their Grapefruit Citrus Soda. It adds just the right amount of sweetness with no added sugar and rounds out the flavors perfectly. I’ll be eating this salad on repeat for the foreseeable future and I hope you give it a try, too! #sponsored Here’s how to make it:
1 grapefruit, peel removed and cut into segments 1 blood orange, peel removed and cut into rounds ½ a fennel bulb, thinly sliced large handful radicchio, chopped
2 radishes, thinly sliced
2 large handfuls mixed greens
2 T sunflower seeds (raw or toasted)
¼ c Zevia Grapefruit Citrus soda
¼ c olive oil
2 T white wine vinegar
1/3 c plain whole milk yogurt
1 t dijon mustard
Salt and pepper, to taste
Toss together all the salad ingredients on a large platter. Whisk together all the dressing ingredients and drizzle the desired amount over the salad. Enjoy!

I mean how epic is this capture?!? Let me paint the scene here. @chefjfraser invited me into the kitchen at @nixny and since his favorite menu item (also the simplest) is the hummus with the tandoor bread, I was given the task to create the homemade bread. Well, to say I was nervous to stick my hand into a 900-degree, fire-hole is a vast understatement — I mean I was forewarned, “put your hair up! Slap the dough to the side of the tandoor hard and quickly pull your arm out!” Arghhhhhhhh 🔥😩
With scorched fingers I attempted, I repeat, ATTEMPTED to make it stick not one, not two, not even three time did I fail. It took me a total of five attempts to get that dough to stick to the side of the fire hole with my bare hands. With no fingerprints left and an arm now bare of its hair, I was defeated and retreated, allowing the mega-pro to swoop in and show me how it’s done. In one try, to boot!
What an epic day and experience in the kitchen — thank you @nixny | Photo @winniewow

Happy Friday! I’m in Boston for the weekend to PUPPY SIT with the bf 🐶I’m so excited - expect some definite puppy stories 🤗 Sharing one of my recent favorite simple salads (recipe from @usapears ) - Baby kale, toasted hazelnuts, Gorgonzola cheese and pear slices. I just used balsamic + olive oil as dressing 💕 Baby kale is my green of choice lately! I like how hearty it is while still having a mild taste. It’s good to mix up your greens selection often - what’s your favorite lately?
Happy Friday friends!
My number one pregnancy craving has been citrus
Between all the orange juice and oranges I have been eating I may turn into an orange soon 😂🍊Maybe it is my Florida upbringing coming through.
Hadn't told many people I was pregnant in the second image and I was trying to hide the bump but still hoard all the oranges. But there is no hiding it now😂

I kind of made this meal on a whim, but loved it so much that wanted to share it! Italian chicken sausages seared until caramelized, served over spicy cheddar polenta, and topped with spinach plus a crisp radicchio pear slaw. It’s healthy-ish and so easy to make...grab the recipe over on theoriginaldish.com!

Healthy eating is simple, or at least simpler than you may think 🙋🏼♀️ Here’s a perfect example of how my dinners are most evenings - quick, delicious, filling, nutritious! I steamed broccoli, while cooking organic tofu and a scrambled egg in GF soy sauce, sesame seeds, a touch of peanut butter, garlic and onion. Added all of it to a bowl of rice I prepped on Monday and boom, DINNER in 10 minutes and 1 dish dirty 🔥🙌🏻
In the spirit of January, I've been baking with more whole grains. Not only do these everything oatmeal knots have whole wheat flour, but they also have flaxseed meal and oats. Find the recipe on lastingredient.com (link in profile).
Throwback to the most delicious, refreshing, and luscious coconuts in Thailand! I like to bring warmth and zest into my kitchen by incorporating delicious foods used in Thai cooking. Although I try to eat mostly seasonal foods (since they are more affordable and sustainable), I also love to enrich my cooking with foods from other cultures and parts of the world. 🍉I recently wrote an article on Thai Superfoods and how to use them to spice up your health and cooking.

Roasted Cabbage with Walnuts, Parmigiano & Saba from #SixSeasons (p. 333). This was unexpectedly excellent. Seriously. I didn’t have high hopes for this. Cabbage isn’t the prettiest vegetable, & since I don’t like cole slaw, the bulk of my experience with cabbage has been as part of the filling of an egg roll. Not to mention my husband doesn’t like lemon and the topping was very lemony. But when the whole dish came together, it was absolutely wonderful and full of interesting textures and flavors. #f52cookbookclub

made this recipe this morning and loved it! super easy because all you need to do is cut up some veggies, bell peppers, onions, corn, garlic, sautée, add some tomato sauce until you make a thick gravy. after that add an egg (or 2) in the middle, let it cook and top off with coriander + serve with hot bread slices, cream fraiche or avocado 🥑 #newrecipes#shakshouka#onmytabletoday
