More than 75% of children in a Daily Mail study said that they would consider being a YouTube star. Would you?
I did a little baking yesterday.
I, uh, also did a little drinking yesterday, “lost” the baking, thought I must have thrown it away, and just discovered it when I went to nuke a burrito. #mydrunkkitchen #bakeyourbestlife
So anyone who knows me well would know what a big deal this picture is to me. Of the people who have influenced my life that I haven't met (until now) she may indeed be the most impactful.
Hannah was the figure who made me comfortable with my sexuality all those years ago. In a time where I didn't see myself represented anywhere she was a human who was happy, healthy and successful whilst also being openly gay. I honestly hadn't seen someone who looked, felt and acted like me in these spaces before.
Her willingness to talk about mental health and break down stigmas inspired me to actively take measures to improve my own and her book 'Buffering' helped me to understand the way past trauma can be interacted with without having it define you.
We live in a time where cultural icons are shifting so suddenly that many of the folks I know may have no idea who this person is. Which brings me to my next point... I've been so lucky to meet a whole bunch of people Ive looked up to and whom I find inspiring and everytime I leave thinking the same thing: "they are human". Being over here and living this crazy life has made me realise that impact is concentrated. Hannah Hart truly has helped shape my life, but so have many folks who don't have millions of YouTube subscribers. Her ability to reach a large audience means she has the ability to have a hand in the direction of a teenager in rural Australia, but so can you. The greatest thing this person's work has taught me is that impact is exponential. Her ability to change the way I see the world has helped me to impact the lives of those who see me as a figure in theirs. Feeling that she is a physical being reminds me that we all have the power to change lives and cultures for the better from an individual level. You may not have the reach that someone at that level of fame but the effects can be just as meaningful. They are not some kind of demi-gods, they are us.
Please be the type of person that makes other people feel empowered to change lives. Be the person who impacts the one that goes on to impact the two. Because that's the way things change.
Thanks to Hannah for being so genuinely pleasant and human today
It may have been 110 degrees and ash may have been falling from the sky... but it was awesome to meet @harto

I’ve been following @harto
since her first video when viral. It’s been an awesome journey to see and if you need a great read, pick this one up. It’s a wonderful perspective 🤗 #buffering #hannahhart #mydrunkkitchen
I bought pizza crust mix at the store. It requires yeast, salt, water, kneading, and waiting for two hours. What the fuck?! This is just like making pizza dough from scratch! They should call this pizza crust plus yeast, salt, water, and all the work that goes into making pizza crust, so don't think you gotta out of that one, sucker... @delallofoods #pizza #cooking #mydrunkkitchen #mdk
Hannah Hart @harto
is best known for her YouTube show My Drunk Kitchen, but also has written a cookbook by the same name, a memoir called Buffering, and has a Food Network show called I Hart Food. In 2014, Hart co-produced and starred in one of my favorite movies, Camp Takota. My favorite thing about Hannah is how she speaks about mental health and love in all its forms on her YouTube channel, My Harto. For her work, she has won 2 Streamy Awards for Best Female Comedy and Best Comedy and 1 Short award for Best in Food. As far as I know, her pronouns are she/her and her identity is “gay”. You can donate to the National Center for Transgender Equality, the nation’s leading trans advocacy organization at https://transequality.org/about.
These are the stories of the people who led and lead the way for all members of the LGBTQ+ community to live safer, happier lives. I encourage you to read with an open heart and contribute any polite, engaged feedback you may have.

I used to HATE Tuesdays. In my opinion they were the worst day of the week. Lately though, I’ve been trying to enjoy everyday and not just live for the weekends. I have things to look forward to on Tuesdays now. My Group Power workout starts me off on the right foot at 5:45am!! Also my favorite podcast by @harto
“Hannahlyze This” comes out with new episodes! So, HAPPY TUESDAY everyone!!! I hope you all have something to look forward to today! #itstuesday #mossa #grouppower #fitlife #liftingweights #hannahlyzethis #mydrunkkitchen #onedayatatime
I misread the packaging of these @traderjoes
raviolis as “four cheese” vs “arugula & parmesan” so naturally, I had to make sure I had the proper amount of cheese 🧀 required for consumption. To be totally honest, I may have been slightly buzzed while shopping but I’d say it was worth it. Chef recommends pairing this meal with gin&juice. #traderjoes

has been one of my biggest inspirations on the whole internet. Together with @gracehelbig
they were my favourite trio on YouTube for the majority of my life from the age of 13-15. Having watched all of her videos (no shame) I am so proud to call myself a viewer of her content because she’s such a great role model and promotes so much positivity. She has done so much with her career like writing books, being in films, staring in a super hero series, making a podcast and I’m sure there will be so much to come that I am very excited for! I would love to meet her in the future and just thank her for everything she has done for not only me but millions of others around the world ☺️
