I DID IT‼️🙌
I did run a half marathon finally!✌️🎶It was my special challenge since I was forced to retire on the way at 10 km because of the terrible pain on my knee last Dec in the same marathon. Since then, I've been training as much as possible. I had run 10 km a couple of times a week before, but I changed the training schedule and contents since an experienced runner advised me. I've run a short distance(about 2-3 km)every time at night as many times as I can in a week, and a daytime long run on weekend when I can. The new way has been easier for me to keep on. I could keep running. That gave me confidence.
It's so windy today but I could enjoy running. The first half of the course reminded mejust last time when I was terribly suffering from the pain on my knee and forced to stop and walk. But I was able to run through there easily, and at 10 km point where I retired last time, I couldn't stop drinning. "I could clear here!" Both my mind and my legs were pushed forward. "" Then, just run to the goal!" The latter half, it's almost headwind from Lake Biwa. Maybe ""Hira-oroshi"(the cold wind from Mt. Hira in winter). Though, I didn't feel tough. I could keep my speed and breathing. On the final 3 km, my legs were just keeping constant work but no more going faster up, so I couldn't make a final speedy push but got the goal!🙌
Today I got the fruit of my work😉💪 It's not only mine because many people have helped and cheered me up. The training program advice, the inner soles @superfeet
advice, saying don't worry when I caught cold and couldn't practice for a week, my dad's taking care of my kids during the marathon, my colleagues, and my kids.
Thank you, guys💓I made it.
In fact, this Moriyama Half Marathon is special for me. When I was a college student and used to run half marathon in many places, I also joined here and found out that the guest runner was Yuko Arimori who I respect since her words"I'm proud of myself." really inspired me when she got a bronze medal on Atlanta Olympic 1992. Because I was a crazy fun of her, I gave her my message letter and she let me take a picture together! Was fantastic!😍
