So I’m sure you all know my half marathon training starts on Christmas Eve 🎄🎄 yes I know how crazy of me to pick a race and training plan that starts right on the best holiday of the year!!! 😳😜 but I’m determined to get back on track and train properly... needless to say I was gifted this Nordic track today and just had to try it out... yes I’ve had a few glasses of wine, yes I picked the hardest setting 😬😵 made it 2 miles and figured if I’m gonna walk through the marsh and duck hunt tomorrow I might need my legs!! I feel great! I just broke my fast with some eggs and bacon and keto coffee. However, I still haven't made it to the gym... My love is going out to the boondocks with his buddies to do guy stuff, which means I'll probably bust out my dumbbells and resistance bands and get a nice (short) workout in once nap time hits.🍴🍳☕
This is by far my longest fast, I normally go for 36hr and call it good. I could've have gone longer, but my husband was not impressed and promptly told me to eat some bacon😂😂😂
P.s. my start was a ridiculous one because I ended gaming until like 4 am and eating a brownie at 3 am. 🎮
The best advice for any lifestyle (diet) is ”𝕘𝕖𝕖𝕜 𝕠𝕦𝕥 𝕥𝕠 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕠𝕨𝕟 𝕓𝕠𝕕𝕪” Guidelines are just that, to guide you. There are as many diets as there are people. Any lifestyle has to be adapted to each person because metabolic state, hormones, habits, stress and so many other factors need to be taken into account.
So these are the steps I recommend for anyone about to get started or stuck:
1-𝔽𝕚𝕟𝕕 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕜𝕖𝕥𝕠 𝕘𝕦𝕣𝕦 𝕠𝕣 𝕤𝕥𝕪𝕝𝕖 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕣𝕖𝕤𝕠𝕟𝕒𝕥𝕖𝕤 𝕨𝕚𝕥𝕙 𝕪𝕠𝕦 and stick to it. Examples are me 😂, @low.carb.love

(my favorite). And stick to it for a set period of time, ideally 30 days. This avoids confusion. You can always switch as you evolve.
2-𝕋𝕣𝕒𝕔𝕜. Tracking is the most effective way to know if you are hitting your goals and finding your sweet spot. You will have full understanding of how different food impacts your body. You might think you are eating keto when you are truly low carb. So the tracking will help you with being mindful of what you eat. And if you get stuck you will have all the data to know exactly what you need to adjust. It is all about finding the right way to eat for you, not your friend that has lost 30 pounds or your other friend that has lost 50, for YOU. I also recommend getting a Keto Mojo to have a real understanding of how your body reacts to what you eat in relation to glucose and ketones. We can talk GKI later.
3-𝕄𝕠𝕕𝕚𝕗𝕪 your macros according to the results. If you have been tracking you have the data. If you are not seeing the results in the scale and/or in your non scale victories then modify. Adjust your macros and reset until you find your sweet spot. Don’t give up until you find it. I promise we all have one and it will evolve with you.
Geek out to your own body. You will feel so empowered by having full knowledge of what impacts your body. It is amazing!
