Alright friends, it’s time for your food coach to dish out some tough love! I constantly hear how you’d like to learn or cook more often... but... but... yes there’s always a but. So I decided to dedicate the next few weeks of #motivationmonday
to debunking all those excuses I keep hearing!
REASON # 1 - I don’t have time.
Yes, there are only 24hrs in a day but have you heard of the saying, “you prioritize things you want to make time for”? If cooking is last on your list then of course it’s difficult to find time for it. Here are a few tips and reasons why you shouldn’t leave it to chance...
1. carve out time to do groceries. It’s impossible to cook if you don’t have the essentials and fresh produce at hand.
2. help yourself out by prepping some ingredients ahead of time. Items like legumes, grains, pasta or meats are usually the longest part of a recipe. By prepping them ahead, all you have to do is assemble it with the rest of the meal, drastically reducing the time it will take to be ready.
3. Think multiple meals. You might not want to eat leftovers all week but an extra portion means you can check at least one other meal off your to do list.
4. Your health is worth it. Knowing what goes in your food is the best way to stay energized and healthy... because really, who has time to be sluggish or sick?
