I love when I come across a simple tip that makes my cookie life easier! I only use a teensy bit of baking powder in my sugar cookie recipe to help minimize spreading and maintain crisp, clean edges...but was still occasionally getting raised areas/bubbles in my baked cookies😠 When this happened, I would turn to my trusty microplaner to file down any bubbles that might interfere with a perfect RI finish. Kind of a pain, but a good solution😕

💜 As soon as cookies come out of the oven, use a fondant smoother, with light pressure, to quickly glide across your freshly baked cookies💫 I already had the simple white @wiltoncakes
smoother with a handle sitting in my pantry. I know it sounds too easy to do the trick, but it works! This simple tip has totally eliminated annoying bubbles and rounded areas => yielding a perfect base for royal icing!✨✨✨ Perfect cookies every time:)💞
