I love sunny days, blue skies, a full belly and post exercise highs! . . Theres always going to be more to do. More problems to solve. More money to earn. More laundry. More dishes. More exercise, more self yoga practice needed. More education and degrees needed to get here or there. Jump this hoop, climb that mountain. More self validation needed. More external validation needed. More shit that needs cleaning, more wants, more demands, more grasping more more more and MORE! Aghhh take a breath.. Inhale Exhale Be still. Yes be grateful, thats a good strategy but i prefer to have a good laugh at myself AND remember one day like everything else I will die/end/finito/see ya later!! 🤣🤣 sounds a bit dramatic I know, but puts things in perspective. I am expert level at getting in my own way, creating my own problems and then causing my own suffering. My heart has felt a little raw lately. Sometimes I forget how beautiful and joyful and full of potential my planet is and I go through a season of mourning for all the tragic, heavy, frightening things that happen. I think this is partly a function of a depression whose shadows in me become longer as the days shorten, and partly just a reflection of current events. In times like these, I tend to want to build up a wall around my heart, to protect the tender, bruised tissue there from further hurt. On one particular day last week, when what I really wanted to do was to cocoon on the couch and numb myself with food and Netflix, I instead went to my room, sat on my bed, and did a sort of Vipassana meditation, allowing myself to feel a torrent of emotions, welcoming and naming each one. It isn’t that I had a great desire to feel sadness, disappointment, and confusion, but I have come to learn that sitting in mindfulness and accepting what is inside me frees it up to be processed and put to rest. I inhaled, I felt, I offered, I cried, I named, I prayed, and I exhaled. And when I was done, I felt a great peace that had been eluding me up until that moment. 1) We will иєνєя know how long our lives will be and and everyday is a gift- act accordingly ✨. 2) If we are blessed with a body that’s strong enough to move and exercise and explore and play- utilize it, that’s half the point of having a body in the first place🤸🏼‍♀️💪🏼. 3) The best time to take care of our bodies is иσω while we’re young- our future selves will thank us 🙏🏻☺️. . Today my bf got some really sad news about a family member (I don’t know all the details yet) but I know it’s not looking good 😳😢. It’s really sad especially as a highly sensitive, empathetic person (I pick up on and feeeel all the energies ✨) BUT it makes me grateful AF for my strong, HEALTHY body and also extremely proud of myself for living this healthy lifestyle. (Plus because of coaching I didn’t have to run off to a serving/bartending shift as soon as Michael got home- I was able to be here and spend quality time with him 👫💕) . I told the girls in my online fitness bootcamp today that I was proud of them for showing up for their health and mindset goals and for taking such good care of themselves 🙌🏼😭. We all know it isn’t always easy but it’s worth it AF. Days like this give me so much perspective and totally fuel my fire 🔥. There’s like 75(ish) days left in this year... don’t you wanna end it as a better you?? Said #withlove . Finding friends as an adult can be really hard. We don’t have the built in school system to get to know people and work and life can be so demanding that it’s hard to get out of our day-to-day comfort zones and try something new. I used to be soooooo so so scared of fog. 💭Real talk!! Now I understand it more. It's an energy thing. 🌬 Some places on Earth have more water in the atmosphere on a regular basis than ever before... more than we know what to do with. 🌀 But this uncertainty is just the beginning of opportunity for a new way of living.💦 More nourishing communities, more plant medicine, more hydrated habits 🛶 Water is a energy conductor. It holds our emotions. And so when an abundance of water finds space close to the ground-- not as rain or sleet or hail or anything moving beyond our control-- it is like the little molecules are surrounding us, waiting to carry our thoughts out into the world for the greater good. Part of this journey in life is learning self-compassion and knowing that some days you’re not going to be on your A-game, but you have a choice each and every moment to re-route and try again. Do I really need to spend money to workout & eat healthy? . . The short answer is NO! There are tons of free resources online that will give you workouts to do and meal plans to follow. . . I will never be a size ZERO, nor have I ever been one and never do I want to. Even at my lowest weight which was probably 125 I was still a size SIX. I have curves, I have a big booty with thick thighs and some extra cushion!!! I am comfortable with being on the thicker side, I prefer that over being stick thin. What I am not comfortable with is how I used to look at myself and wish for a different body. It’s funny how I was at my thinnest and it still wasn’t good enough. But now I have extra fluff and tiger marks and more proud of my body than I have ever been. Yes I am working on my body because I would like to firm up my booty, flatten my stomach, strengthen my arms and build up thighs. Do you hear the difference?? I want to be thick and fit not skinny. I am being realistic about what I want and what my body can be. Ladies embrace your body and be proud of what you were given from god. I lived my whole life trying to cover up my ass, wearing clothes too big for me, comparing myself to my size ZERO friends. Had I not been so worried about my size and weight I probably would’ve been a lot happier!

Active recovery day today. Did some errands and every time I moved from one end of the house to the other I did 10 reps each of squats, presses, rows and push ups. Managed to hit 1,000 reps. You may not have 30-90 consecutive minutes a day to spare but you can always spare 30-60 seconds. Well, I'm losing my mind. . . I had cash to deposit at the ATM and stood in front of the machine for an entire minute staring at the keypad. My PIN... , the one I’ve used every day for a year, just gone from my brain. I went back to my car and tried not to think about what it could be, hoping it would come to me; I went to the grocery and attempted to recall the digits by hovering my hand over the keypad (the checkout lady confirmed I was crazy with her look), and ended up getting my PIN changed without ever learning what it was. (Pro tip: don’t stick with the random string of digits they send you as a PIN when you get your new card). . I also stared at my jacket as I walked out of the yoga studio this morning, leaving it behind. 🤔😠 . Brain, where you at?? . . Okay, little PSA for self-care... our desire to DENY we need it is strong, but our need for it is greater!
