John Muir was an environmentalist and a naturalist that inspired the United States to preserve its treasures. We have so much to be thankful for when it comes to Muir. If you’re not familiar with him, read about him. Read his works. Read the history of many early National Parks. Although from Scotland, he influenced our American National Parks and Presidents in so many ways. He’s the original National Park fanatic. Take a moment to read about him and the legacy he left behind.
Within the walls of the pictured home, he wrote his most influential words. This is the home from where he fought many fights to stand up for our public lands.
