I can’t stress the importance of making sure you have balance in your life. Don’t ever be overly consumed with just one thing so that you forget what really matters! I am thankful that I have my kids, family, business & friends outside the bodybuilding world to keep me grounded.
People assume you live and breath bodybuilding life, and some do...but it’s what they are not achieving as a result that is the concern. When I do well in comps I am always overwhelmed with people saying that I must be on cloud nine, out eating and drinking to celebrate and thriving on my win for months after... the reality?... is generally the next day I am back to doing school runs, night time stories, homework, lunchboxes, kindergyms, wiping small bums and tiny noses, answering 100’s of client questions, programming, check ins, house upkeep, relationship repair from comp prep! Yep! Mum life /life don’t wait for anything! My life is MANIC! .
Peak week my last two preps I remember cleaning vomit out my car back seats & gastro through my household. Glamorous? No. Reality? Yes. There is NO time off being a mum and business owner... no taking a week off before or after comp date....My point?... life goes on! Don’t ever put all your eggs in one basket! Make sure you are nurturing more than just the image in the gym mirror... self growth, survival, ‘real’ world issues are what make and break people. Mums and dads who compete are next LEVEL! So look at who inspires you for more than just an image on instagram.
Supermums do not exist.
So take the pressure off yourselves!!!! Real life vs Insta life.... big difference!

Even a coach needs a coach. I find it pretty simple to come up with a game plan for people and if they follow it, result happen, but when it comes to planning for myself; it just won’t work. I’ll get too obsessive and frustrated and things could possibly move backwards.
Excited to be working with this legend again for another season next year and hopefully bring a bigger and more conditioned package🤞💪
