Most of my indigo has flowered, died or hasn’t been thriving incredibly due to my lack of time for gardening and seasonal change, but it’s still giving the colors of mermaid dreams 🐬 If you zoom in you can see the flowers going to seed ✨(as well as my forever grubby dyers hands and nails that no home manicure can hide) clockwise from top right- silk habotai, wool/silk & silk yarn- with the yarn I’m knitting a cap for someone special going through tough shit so hoping this is a bright spot for the battle ahead. #aqua #ovariancancerawareness #teal #naturaldyes #naturaldyeing #freshindigo #indigo #homegrownindigo #japaneseindigo
That pink....the brown. Plant-based. Natural dyes on merino fingering weight yarn. Pink = Holy Guacamole (avocado pit dye). Brown = What a Nut (black walnut dye). ❤️ #botanicals #naturaldyes #UpNorthYarns
Packing all the yarn and samples, and hoping my kids cooperate tomorrow 🤞
If all goes well, we’ll be at the Battenkill Fibers booth by late morning, so please come say hello! We’ll have all our current bases with us, all locally grown, spun for us by #battenkillfibers

Founder Jessica Lynn writes: "This collection was inspired by African mudcloth. It also uses a variation of an ancient technique of block printing, commonly found in Asia. A medley of cultural influences and eras. For some reason this reminds me of "the law of conservation of energy" in which energy can neither be created nor destroyed, only be changed. Everything that has ever been here before, is here now... and the future is made up of things from the past. I know I'm getting philosophical now but I hope when you look at this collection you will remember this... We are a mere fraction in time, just like this photo. Every moment is so important. I hope you will treasure these timeless pieces but MOST importantly treasure your time ❤."
