I’ve missed a lot of moments over the years. I sat out of participating in a lot of life’s opportunities because I wasn’t happy with myself or truly confident in my own skin. I let my unhealthy weight rob me of more than I care to admit most days but I will never do that again!
Now I know and it’s exactly why I share it with as many women as who will join me! I don’t want another women to miss out on experiencing irrepressible happiness every moment of their journey.
You CAN beat obesity!! You CAN learn how to eat to fuel yourself naturally for weight loss. You CAN learn how to lose weight WITHOUT depriving yourself, or eliminating food groups. You CAN learn how to think about food, and nutrition, and life and yourself differently. You can change your mindset and THAT CAN CHANGE EVERYTHING!! YOU CAN!! Period!! You just have to want it and then choose it!

Monday Madness for ya!💃🏽 Today was my first Monday actually making my workout in a few weeks! I was so pumped and energized BUTTTTTT there were several new people in our class. My instructor (because she’s so amazing) stopped every song to go over the targeted areas and how to properly hit each move. While for the new people, it was awesome, for someone who comes twice a week for several months was really bored. The new people even requested lower intensity songs....like hellooo bored over here!!! But I was once in their shoes so I get it and I still enjoyed class!!! #dancing2bfit #zumba

Have you ever realized you’re being fucking foolish? I have. 🤷♂️
It seems obvious to me now, but I didn’t used to think of food as fuel. I knew I needed food to live but I did not connect it to how I felt. Basically, I thought food was food and french fries were going to do about the same thing that green beans did. (I mean, I knew green beans were healthier but I didn’t think it really mattered that much.) I was wrong about that.
Seeing food as fuel, that the quality of my meal was directly related to how I felt inside and out, changed my life. A quality meal for a human, the best fuel, is whole foods, plant-based.
I stopped looking at food as a comfort on bad days or a treat on good days. I saw it as fuel and once I did that I only wanted to put good fuel into my body. (Most of the time. Let’s be realistic. Every once in a while I have that slice of pizza!) Making the switch, viewing food as only fuel, saved my life.

Round 2, Week 5, Day 1 ~ Chest & Triceps.
Absolutely love this LIIFT program! This program has pushed me so out of my comfort zone it’s not funny! Never did I think I’d be pressing 20 pds when I seriously started with 5 & 8 pds. Being physically strong helps your mind be strong. Working out is my therapy and my stress release. Thank goodness I can do this right at home and not ever feel self conscious or feel like I’m being judged when I struggle.

Have you ever quit mid-way through a new program, going to the gym, trying a new diet, etc???
I am just going to say it. Quitting sucks. Starting over sucks. .
I know how HARD it is to start over. I had just made a pro volleybal team when I found out I was pregnant, (I wasn't supposed to be able to have any more!) what a surprise!
I had been working so hard to get in shape. Fast forward to when he was born. It was my 3rd c-section and I lost a lot of blood. I had to have 2 transfusions before I left. .
10 days later, my youngest daughter had a seizure. She was unresponsive for over 10 minutes while we waited for the paramedics. She was diagnosed with epilepsy. Her disorder included seizures when she was asleep. .
Let's say, I didn't sleep for a long time, between that and a newborn!
About 7 months later I finally tried to start getting in shape again. I tried everything I did before and it wasn't working. I gave up a couple times, and start again and again.
Until I found a friend doing these online workouts that I could do too. In my house, on my terms. It FINALLY clicked...my body finally started changing...progress at last!
The next part of my journey, becoming an online fitness accountability coach myself. I know what it is like when you feel like nothing is working. I have been there.

All I really want is fitness that's simple, workouts that work, that I can do while the baby sleeps and toddler runs around, a nutrition plan that makes sense, healthy food that I look forward to, an amazing group to support my goals, and a lifestyle that helps me maintain healthy habits... while still enjoying candy, chocolate and all the foods. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
