Hi everyone! It's been a while since I shared something about my story.
First of all, I'm doing so much better.
Still coping with the bad days but they're nothing compared to the horror I went through the last years. I feel like a lot of people and most important of all doctors are mis or uninformed about Lyme so that's why I created this post.
In the past decade, I've experienced many symptoms.
Chronic fatigue, insomnia, brain fog, severe joint and muscle pain, inflammation all over my body, feeling faint, palpitations, a lot of nausea, neck pain, extreme heat intolerance, cold intolerance, sleep disturbances, cognitive decline, vision changes, weight loss and so much more.
Lyme disease is an underreported, under-researched, and often debilitating disease transmitted by spirochete bacteria. The Borrelia burgdorferi, are transmitted not only by ticks but also by spiders and sometimes mosquitos!
Lyme’s wide range of symptoms mimic those of many other diseases, making it difficult to diagnose. Which often leads to many years of suffering.
Within days of the bite, the bacteria can move to your central nervous system, muscles and joints, eyes, and heart.
Sometimes Lyme-related fatigue is misdiagnosed as chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, and depression! This mistake happened to me too.
If you have some of these signs of Lyme.
Let me know, I can help you!
