There’s no need to fall out of love with something that is old. We don’t want ignore it, forget about it or leave it in a dusty old corner to rot. There’s nothing more rewarding than showing it some love, teaching it to shine & giving it some quirky personality.
🎊Today is Chewie’s Gotcha Day 🎊 In the past year he’s come so far physically, but he’s also learned to play with toys, to sit AND roll over🕺🏻, and to (occasionally) listen to us (when we have food). He’s the absolute weirdest dog I’ve ever met and I can’t image our lives without him and his quirks😅

Our big 7mo 23lb Polly girl was not her crazy self Wednesday after spay but vet was amazed at her growth from 2 1/4lb first visit #neglectednomore #vegandog
Salamat, UP NTDSG. I will miss being in the community, doing ‘post-mortem’ fieldwork discussions, and working my brain out every single day. Also: our Coreon days, our everyday office kulitan and @kimangeline.lin
’s daily dose of rants. Haha. Maraming salamat! You were amazing. It has been a pleasure working with such a great team. #neglectednomore
Ramsey has been sadly neglected in his previous life. He has sever eye and ear infections which we are working diligently to clear up. The Vet says Ramsey has scarring in his eyes meaning he’s had these infections before. Foster mom says when you look into his eyes all you see is love and gentleness. Ramsey never wants to be alone and yearns for affection. Ramsey will make for a great companion and we’re looking forward to seeing who he chooses. #adoptable #ramsey #kindeyes
How's this for Friday night excitement? The only plant I've ever successfully resurrected from death. It was dry and dead, more or less, neglected in a pot outside. Brought it in, placed in new pot, actually remembered to water it occasionally and viola! A couple years later it's eight inches long and growing every which way. Go me! #resurrection #plantlife #withatwist #planted #alivedespitemybestefforts #neglectednomore
The beginnings of trust and a new friendship. This poor girl was severely neglected and most likely abused. Used to pop out kids and milk until she was all used up. We got her just in time. She is easily my most worse-off animal rescued. But lots of love and TLC (and medicine from the vet!) will one day bring the light & life back to her eyes. I am grateful to have a life that provides for me to provide for her. Here's to health and healing, my darling Leela girl ❤️
Working on fixing the sprinklers so this lawn comes back to life, fresh coat of paint coming next week. Loving every minute making this our home #wegotthis #hugeyard #neglectednomore
"NTDs are challenges with outright solutions. These diseases can be controlled and eliminated within our lifetime. Let us build a future where NTDs no longer inflict suffering and unnecessary death. Let us be the last generation to see NTDs in the Philippines." Ultimately, advocacy, multisectoral collaboration, research, and health education and promotion are needed to effectively control and/or eliminate NTDs in the country.
Today's a great day for public health in the Philippines. #ntdforum #reachtheunreached #neglectednomore
Sweet Lucy Lulu (left) is still enjoying the bliss of her adopted life! 💖 And having a fur-bro makes everyday grrrreat!!! Mahalo to everyone that has helped to make her smiles possible! You guys so ROCK! 💜
www.k9kokua.org *For our new pals--Lu's backstory...years ago, she was a puppy at the humane society when a young couple saw her and 'adopted' her from there. This couple had recently arrived to our island and they were camping out on a beach and panhandling their way through Waikiki. With Lucy. 😡 A kind person reached out for help when they noticed this couple (and their eratic behavior). A prev. K9 Kokua volunteer drove down there and the couple stated that they had "made enough money to fly to Maui" so they happily gave their 'adopted' puppy away. INFURIATING ISN'T IT?! She was used as a tool, a temporary play thing for these inconsiderate and selfish people! Lu was thin and had not been to the vet for her follow up shots.
Yet, the couple (barely here for 3 months) had raked in enough cash to live a carefree life sleeping on the beach in Waikiki like it was some kind of vacation. It is an insult to those who are truly houseless with their dogs and struggling to remain safe while also keeping their heads up!
To think that some people are doing this purposely is maddening. Their behavior sheds a bad light on houseless that need and WANT help.
When Lu was picked up, the couple was heavily under the influence of altering substances.
And let's not forget..they had panhandled enough in Waikiki to fly to another island.
All because they had a cute, little puppy with them and people felt bad so they gave them a few dollars here and there. 😔
All of that is behind Lucy now and this innocent gal will never be in bad hands again!!
She has been in permanent love and safety with her real adoptive ohana and now enjoys her life! 💜

Just a reminder that results come from allocating your time and effort. I've been seeing some fantastic growth on this platform early on because I was putting in the right effort. This week I've been so busy at @designcuts
that I've worked every waking hour on that biz, stopping only to eat. I'm talking sending the final email 2 seconds before my head hits the pillow. As much as I'm going to put into this page, I had to neglect it this week, as such big things are brewing at Design Cuts. And guess what? My Instagram progress slowed to a crawl, the second I stopped putting out daily content, devoting as much time to creating better content, and connecting with others. Half the battle is knowing the right work to put it, the other half is finding the time and energy reserves to do it! #neglectednomore #entrepreneur #entrepreneurlifestyle #ceolife #startup #startuplife #ceo #companyculture #onlinebusiness #socialmedia #bizowner #smallbiz
Marley had his follow-up vet appointment and unfortunately, his mouth is still inflamed so he has to have another round of medication. He has gained some weight, which is fantastic, and we hope at his next follow-up appointment, he’ll have gained some more! Fingers crossed that this round of medication will be his last and he can finally be available to find his forever home!

I weighed baby #Meep
yesterday, and he's 9.1 ounces!! He's still got a ridiculously long way to go, but at least now I know there's no physical reason for him to be this size other than neglect. Yay for Meep!! Bonus purring :)
