Postcards from Tengboche and Pangboche.
All is well on this front. We are adjusting to altitude slowly but also to a different sort of living. What was at first shocking has begun to feel normal - views, food, yaks, hanging bridges, Sherpa smiles, the 4 other strangers that now seem like old friends. We attended a ceremony at the Tengboche monastery as the monks prepared for a celebration next week. The group was in agreement that it was one of the coolest things we’ve seen - chanting and prayers for over 2 hours. I stayed up and read a book about Buddhism. I have too many thoughts and learnings and curiosities to write here. Thanks for tagging along.
