Definitions of “blooming:”
1: having blooms unfolding
2: thriving in health, beauty, and vigor
Just a thought: I’d like to think you can’t have the second definition without the first. It was the first definition I had in mind when writing this for someone. Here’s why: I think so often times it’s easy to hear “bloom” and immediately think of the beautiful process of becoming this open, vibrant spring flower. However, the stage of “unfolding,” of being opened up to the elements and the process of growing is not effortless or easy. It takes time. It takes patience. It takes realizing that even though we know that we will bloom, we do not know exactly what the flower will look like until it has fully bloomed, and that is okay. Because one day we will look back and see that all along, we were blooming into who we were meant to be. All because of the unfolding. All because of the process it took to finally trust beyond our borders and know that we were growing.
I am in the process of gathering a list of individuals who have stories of blooming and growing, and then, interviewing them and sharing their story in an artistic way. If you know someone who you think I’d might like to interview, tag them below! They can be a writer, speaker leader, artist, engineer, teacher, college student—looking forward to this! (They do not have to be a prominent, wellknown person to be a part of this!)
