This appetizer uses @PortofinoTuna
wild caught tuna packed in EVOO, tahini, and zaatar. Bella Portofino is my pick due to its great taste, tender texture, and superior quality. In just a few minutes, you can whip up this dip for your party guests and it pairs well with crackers, pita bread, and even sourdough or baguette.
2 cans of Bella Portofino solid albacore tuna
1 tsp grated lemon rind
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsps Greek yogurt
1 tbsp EVOO and extra for serving
2 cloves of garlic
2 tbsps tahini
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsps zaatar for serving
1 tbsp chopped chives for serving
1.Place tuna, yogurt, lemon rind and juice, olive oil, garlic, and tahini in a small food processor and process until smooth.
2.Season with salt and pepper to taste.
3.Transfer the tuna mixture to a serving plate.
4.Garnish with zaatar and chives and serve immediately with crackers, flatbread, or bread.
