WHAT DOES STRENGTH MEAN TO YOU? ◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️
I usually never open up about my past but I feel so inspired to share my story for this cause.
Growing up in Puerto Rico as a minority female, from an immigrant family, in the 90s… life was not easy......
I was different, I was judged, I was not accepted and bullied… Being me kinda sucked sometimes, but that pain has really made me who I am. And seeing my mom persevere through the same struggles, taught me the most valuable lesson about how to find my strength.
I learned that to be STRONG is to be kind, to hold your head high when they try to put you down, to give instead of expecting to receive, to forgive and most importantly to love past failures and keep chasing your wildest dreams.
If you let what others think define you, you will never amount to become who you want to be. ◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️ Change your perspective by changing your actions, I genuinely believe that you can make a difference by just doing something good right now, what you chose to do in the next 30 seconds DOES make a difference.
You don’t have to save the world, something as simple as listening with intention, lending a hand, giving a smile… you never know how your kindness can multiply in others. ◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️
