Milk Puff Puff recipe
Am currently consoling myself after yesterday's World cup match with these delicious and super easy milk Puff Puff, oh what a loss, so Nigeria couldn't win that match😭. Any way let's get to this recipe.
This snack is usually made with water but I decided to switch it up by using milk and it was so good even my 7months old couldn't resist after one bite.
1&1/2 cup warm milk
2teaspoon active dry yeast
1litre vegetable oil for frying
Mix all the dry ingredients together in a bowl and add the warm milk, mix into a batter that isn't watery but isn't hard either. Cover this with a kitchen towel, place in the warmest part of your kitchen to rise and double in size, this should taken about 45minutes.
After 45minutes, uncover and Punch out the air, place a deep pot on your cooker and pour in the oil, allow this to heat up for 15minutes, then gently scoop some of the batter either with an ice cream scoop or just a spoon into the oil, repeat this process for all the batter and deep fry for about 1minute on each side.
Remove from the oil and drain in a paper towel, serve while warm.
Adding milk made this popular street snack taste so good!! Hubby even said it was like eating very rich bread lol.
