When the prompt is witches and wizards you finally have a chance to grab some of the numerous tincture bottles you have in your medicine cabinet. One of these days I should get a shot of the naturopathic and Chinese herbal medicine dispensary shelves at work. The shelves are so beautifully stocked with glass jars full of healing herbs, bottles with tincture ingredients, glycerites, and teas.
It makes what I do sort of magical, in a different way. My challenge is to marry the conflicting worlds of natural medicine with technology. Over the years I’ve listened, studied, and watched the art of natural medicine, acupuncture, and more. I take that knowledge and make it work within the realm of an electronic medical record system. I’ve got some tricks up my sleeve for an optimization project that will allow me to do my own technical witchy magic to make those worlds work better together.
Question of the day: Do you utilize natural medicine?
For the past 7 years I’ve incorporated more and more natural medicine into my life and my families life. I believe very strongly in integrating allopathic and natural medicine. They work really well together, especially with integrative practitioners.
Day four of the #bookishtreatgiveaway
is Witches and Wizards. One of my favorites, La Dame Blanche AKA Claire Fraser is coming back with a new season of Outlander in 13 days! Historically women healers often got the label of witch. Claire used that to her advantage more than once, although it’s a good thing Jamie saved the day during the trial. People are often afraid of the things they don’t understand. Instead of learning they just want to destroy it.
Bookish tags for today:
