on what seems like their busiest week of the year #ninedays
. Service was good all things considered. Diverse crowd, including US ambassador to Israel, David M. Friedman.
We shared a bunch of different plates and there were a couple of stand outs.
1) Salmon Tartare
2) Tuscan Fries
2) Frozen Cheesecake
1) Pan Fried Mozzarella- Think of it as adult mozzarella sticks. Crispy, not too oily, delicious.
2) Three Cheese Mac- For the sharp cheese lover.
1)A&S Pizza- Unusual toppings, good crust.
2)Grilled Salmon- Perfectly cooked to my liking. Loved the sweet potato purée, along with the toasted quinoa and pomegranate salad.
1) Creme Brûlée - Speckled with vanilla bean and a hint of lemon. Of the best I’ve ever had.

Mushroom barley soup is an essential for the #ninedays
and is healthy, delicious, and super filling! This recipe is the best I’ve ever tried! A must to put on your #ninedaysmenu
!!!!!! Mushroom Barley Soup Recipe found in the hamodai a few years ago:
Ingredients: 1 onion peeled and diced
1 14 oz can mushrooms drained ( I used fresh mushrooms)
2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp sugar
2 tsps salt
2 tbsp onion soup mix
4 tbsp flour
1 carrot peeled and sliced
7-8 cups of water
1 handful of barley
Directions: in a large pot, sauté onions and mushrooms in the oil. When the onions are translucent, add all the spices and flour and stir. Add remaining ingredients and allow to simmer for one hour.

Cheese Ravioli in Mushroom Cream Sauce
Cook ravioli as per package directions. Meanwhile:
4 T butter
6-8 cloves garlic, sliced
1 8-oz can mushrooms, drained
2 C heavy cream
2 tsp flour
Fresh ground pepper and sea salt (about 6-8 turns)
Heat butter. Add sliced garlic and sauté until softened (5-7 minutes). Add mushrooms and sauté another coupla minutes. Add heavy cream and salt n pepper, then add flour and whisk until smooth. Cook and stir for a few minutes until thickened. Pour over pasta and serve!

At same time, heat panini maker until very hot. Spray a tuna steak on both sides with oil spray and sprinkle with fresh ground sea salt and pepper. Grill for 1-2 minutes, depending on thickness of steak. Serve with a slice of lemon.

Nine days. No dairy for me. Trying different fish options. By the time I’m done I will feel like an ocean is inside of me. It’s healthier.... but takes more effort in planning the meal and executing it. That’s how life is, what’s harder to do what takes more time, has better results. My husband loves to fish, ( he is excellent at it) which I can say I don’t! He has patience and precision and waits for the fish to bite and to reel them in at the right moment. I watch from afar and think, if only I could have that skill down pat, but maybe I don’t in fishing but at least I try to use it in life. To prepare for the right catch, (working on strengthening my inner core) to be patient for the right fish ( maybe a business deal) to come along, and to reel it in, (close the sale,) when it does. You can give someone a fish OR you can teach them how to fish, so they can keep catching over and over. I’d rather be taught, or be the teacher...#lifegoals #coaching #ninedays

“Since I am old enough to remember, summers were spent by the beach/pool, eating tuna sandwiches. Or chicken salad depending on my mother’s mood and if we were going to get ice cream after!
I have taken up this summer tradition with a little twist. I love my tuna sweet and spicy and discovered that if I use a little heat with the spices and add a little cool fruit flavor, I have the most delicious, satisfying summer bite. It’s perfect for when we come out of the water literally famished and will eat anything and everything!
I love this tuna salad with pears particularly for its sweet subtle flavor and softer bite, but feel free to sub with apples if you prefer a crunchier texture.” —From Scratch’s Sarah Lasry
1 can of tuna with oil, drained
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon curry powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
¼ cup shredded or diced small carrots
¾ cup fresh blueberries
Ripe pears, sliced ¼ inch thick
1. In a bowl, combine tuna, mayonnaise, and spices.
2. Gently fold in carrots and blueberries.
3. Assemble at pool side. Enjoy sliced pears with a dollop of tuna on top.
Yield: 2-4 servings

It was overbooked on July 4th, it took some time for us to be served, and my IG wasn't working properly.... But.... Who cared!! We were just enjoying our constant change in view! The tables and chairs inside are sooo different! I love them! The decor! The colour! The air!...... The outdoor seating... Yummmm! That bar! The water! The types of boats! Seeing them sail!! Breath in through the nose and out through a relaxed jaw, auditable sigh. Once more and the biggest breath in through the nose and out through a soft mouth, and relaxed jaw, allow a full body sigh of relief and release ❤️
Rose Magdalene Womb Heart Breath: Continuing to breathe deeply but now just in and out of the nose, similar to yogic ocean breath but now focus on the heart/left hand and the womb/right hand.
Breathing deeply into the heart 1, 2, 3, 4 and then out through the heart 1, 2, 3, 4, breathing deeply into the womb 1, 2, 3, 4 and out through the womb 1, 2, 3, 4, continue weaving back and forth like a figure of eight or an infinity symbol.
