Unfortunately, there some things we simply can’t control, like Mother Nature. Today I was supposed to be in Nashville by 10 am, but my 6 am flight from Harlingen got cancelled and rescheduled for 3:25. I am currently sitting in the Houston Hobby airport praying my connecting flight doesn’t also get cancelled. Weather has been horrible in all the major cities today, so I imagine lots of travelers have been left frustrated just like me. But through my frustrations, I’ve been reflecting and trying to find the positive... First of all, @southwestair
is keeping us all SAFE by not taking chances with the weather. PRAISE JESUS & BLESS THEM. 🙏🏼 Then, at 6 am, my hotel in Harlingen was SO sweet to let me come back to my room that I had already checked out of, to come back, have breakfast, and get some rest until the late checkout they gave me at 1:30, AND shuttle me back to the airport for free. I swear, that was the best nap I’ve ever had. 😂 Their generosity and hospitality today really touched me! THEN, 👀 what I found in my devotional today... a message about TRUST and THANKFULNESS. 🤦🏼♀️🙌🏼 #Slain
Y’all, there’s always something to complain about. There’s also always something to be thankful for. The difference depends on your attitude. I learned that because I’m still human, and I definitely had a bad attitude earlier.
In the end, I still might not make it to Nashville tonight because weather is still bad. But today, God has given me a peace in this (literal) storm that I am so grateful for, and I don’t worry knowing He is in control.
