Week 2 - Day 1...Burn! and that it did! .
Day started rough with furnace not working (thankful for that pellet stove in the background) and frozen water. Overloaded at work which made me leave late to get Adam to the dentist....I did have a great afternoon with 2 of my kiddos tho. I always love spending time with them! .
Not feeling all warm and fuzzy tonight...nothing profound to day...time for bed. Tomorrow will be a better day!
On a positive note...I did crush my numbers for my transformers which you'll see in the second pic....check out my stories for clips of the workout I'm doing! Its pretty awesome!

9 treadmill mi, 4x1.5mi intervals. didn’t want to go, but it’s my 1st day of ultra training!! and since my half marathon training plan overlaps for the next two weeks with my ultra plan, i just chose the harder workout to do 💪🏼 so instead of 6ez, i nailed my intervals while i watched basketball 🏀👊🏼

Lately, yogurt bowls have been my go-to breakfast that I usually whip it out around 9:45 each morning at my desk. (I’m not hungry right away—just me? 🙈)
Plus, this spread is also cheap to make (~$1.50 per serving—that’s less than a 🌮!) and takes only about 10 min total to prep for the week if you use store bought granola or cereal. #noexcuses

Look, people! You go at your own pace. You start out slow at first. Get your footing. You do what you can and push harder when you have it in you.
I gotta tell you though, I didn’t want to work out today. I wanted to just lay around and be lazy all day. But the more I did that the worse I felt. I was starting to get a headache and the sweets & wine I indulged in the night before made me feel weak & tired.
So, I got up. Drank my yellow energy pre-workout drink, which helped tremendously and got it done!
And 20 min later, I was feeling much better. It’s wonderful what a quick workout can do. Now I’m back on track!

Yesterday was Sunday Adventure Day: Hiked for over 6 miles on this crazy weather and it was so worth it. Had a blast running and figuring the way back when it was getting dark and we could only use the light of the moon as a guide. The craziest full moon ever by the way. 🌝 Can’t believe how strong @simba_lionqueen

I was searching for a way through the negativity today, then I decided to CREATE a path 💕
We had plenty of ups and downs (mostly meltDOWNS!) this weekend! Today's workout was definitely needed. It also gave the two of us a chance to talk through struggles we were having. We took some breaks to resolve some conflicts and another to practice some deep breathing when a little someone needed some calm down time. But we pushed though! He even joined me in some of the workout too!
I'm not gonna lie, the #mommyguilt
was hitting me strong there for a minute! 😫 But despite feeling pulled in different directions I was proud that I decided to get back into it! (Thankful to daddy for helping this process! 😘) Best part was that we worked through all this together! 👊
I can't take away every struggle from them but I can teach them skills to work through the struggles they will face! Plus, I was able to take that time for me as I continue to navigate through my own! 🙌
Sacrificing your self care will not make you better for them and it wont teach them the lesson of caring and coping through the challenges life throws at us. The big and the small! But it will burn you out and leave you less than you can be for all those in your life.
Don't be ashamed to MAKE that time for yourself. You are worth it and so are they ❤
Let them be your reason, not your excuse.
