I have to repeat this often. It’s not that I intentionally go about being un-gentle. But old habits as they say, die hard. Gentle is resting when I’m tired. Un-gentle is soldiering in and pushing through. Gentle is saying no to a request that will use energy. In-gentle is overloading myself because I am capable. Gentle is staying hydrated. Un-gentle is creating too many things to do that I forget to drink water. Gentle is laying in the sun, going to bed at a reasonable hour, drinking celery juice first thing in the morning. Kid 4/4 has had me up since 3:30am - he’s since had two biggish sleeps - and I discovered after breakfast that Kid 2/4 has chickenpox.
There was a very strong urge to survive on chocolate, hot chips and pies today, but thankfully I know that will only make things worse - sugar high followed by carb crash.
Chucked 2tbsp ground almonds, 1cup water, 1/2 a banana, a date and a handful of spinach through the bullet and am feeling full, nourished and, frankly, a bit chuffed with myself for making good choices!! Thankfully Kids 1/4 & 3/4 aren’t spotty and have gone to their pre-arranged play date (K2/4 is gutted she missed out), so I have plenty of time to play Lavender Touch connect-the-dots on Miss Spot. Also applying OnGuard to her spine and dabbing her spots with dōTERRA’s nappy balm (contains lavender, tea tree & Roman chamomile oils plus zinc which helps soothe the itch).

Ok tired mamas and even you dads out there. I really want to share something with you, that is a freakin god sent🙌🏻 I never have enough minutes in my day to make sure I get the nutrients my body NEEDS.
I end up tired, frustrated with my babies and the cycle continues over and over.😓 Most days I struggle to get proper balanced meals on the table for me and my little family.
I wake up most mornings with the “here we go again” “what s#!t will hit me today” mindset, it’s because I’m tired, I’m out of focus and I’m undernourished. 🤕

After a two week break from my dietetic internship, I’m back starting off with three weeks of hospital food service management then I move into my clinicals! Can’t believe how quickly time has been moving lately.
Getting everything in order with my signature salad (lol does that mean I eat it too much?) filled with spinach tossed in TJ’s green goddess, chicken sausage, roasted Brussels and potatoes topped with 🥑. Also I’ve never been a huge fan of @lacroixwater
but this key lime flavor is so good and refreshing.
I think by now, that you all know that weight loss wasn’t easy for me. I was so envious of those women who made it look easy. I was over here pulling my hair out trying to find a solution while other women seemed to just breathe and the weight flew off. 😭

All my years of dieting had me focusing on what was wrong with me. Thoughts like...I’m not a size 6, I’m not a size 4, my BMI isn’t low enough, my body fat isn’t in the “right range” for what I want, my arms are too jiggly, my thighs are huge, I eat too many carbs etc. thoughts about how I suck basically and thoughts about how I wasn’t enough. -
I got trapped in not liking myself. Not liking anything about myself. Everyday began and ended with what I’m not. Or where I am not. 🚫
This continued for years until when I felt like I did something wrong such as eat to much that day or not see any progress the next, that I’d punish myself. Not that I knew I was doing it. I just did it without thinking. That of course was the BIG problem.
I would punish myself by under eating or not eating..:thinking I don’t deserve to eat, I’m so fat. I HAVE to exercise for an hour on the elliptical or I’ll gain tomorrow. Thoughts that beat me down and actions that acted upon them. 😭
Yes, it was sad and yes, that was “normal” for me and for years I lived in this personal hell. I know the struggle ladies and these stories are share are only part of my story. There was so much MORE but my point is that there is hope. If you feel like this NOW, there is hope. Plus, you’re SO not alone with these thoughts. 🧠
What I did to get out of my hell, was starting by thinking on purpose. I thought things that eventually made me feel better about myself and more importantly about my body. We think we lack knowing HOW to lose the weight more. But we really lack the thoughts MORE ❤️ I’m here if you need me. Think better thoughts my loves.

If you missed this 2-ingredients vegan cookie cake, well, here it is again. If simple, delicious, cookies and cream, and indulgent and words that get your motor running, then this cake is for you. .
Vegan chocolate ripple cake.
You’ll need .
1 x pack vegan chocolate cookies (We used Arnotts chocolate ripple biscuits- the pack will need around 27 cookies). 1 x can vegan whipping cream.
1. Pour the cream into a bowl and whip until fluffy.
2. Count your cookies, then divide by 3
2. Grab one cookie, and spread whipped cream onto top, about 1 cm thick. Place cookie down on the bench then top with a second cookie. Add another cm of cream on top of the second cookie, and top with a third. Continue until you have completed one third on the cookies. This is your first row.
4. Continue to make a second, then third row. Once completed lay the 3 rows together, and cover the entire cake with remaining cream, ensuring you evenly cover everything.
5. Set the cake in the fridge for 4 + hours. Top with greasy berries, and enjoy! .
This really is the easiest, no-fuss cake you’ll ever make. It’s certainly not sugar free, but it’s pretty amazing. I’ve tagged the brands I used in the comments.

Green Soup Recipe 🍵
〰️ 4 Cups Bone Broth 〰️ 1/2 Diced Pumpkin 〰️ 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil 〰️ 1 Tsp. Of Turmeric, Cinnamon, Paprika, Cumin Seeds 〰️ 1-2 Heads of Broccoli 〰️ 1-2 Zucchini 〰️ 400mL Organic Coconut Milk. 🍵 Heat oil in large pan, add spices and stir for 1 min. Add veggies, stock and coconut milk. Bring to boil and then simmer for 20-30 mins. Top with fresh herbs and goats cheese. 🙌🏼
