The back is a very powerful body part. If you are able to gain mass in your back then your strength will increase as well. Strength is synonymous with a strong back. The back is made up of several muscles that need to be hit from several angles to make the most progress. The traditional way to do this is to hit each exercise one by one to guarantee that each muscle gets hit. The cool thing about the back muscles is that, although there are many, they all work together and will get hit to some degree with almost every exercise.
This brings me to my next point. The Giant Set. A giant set is basically your entire workout all in one set. Instead of doing multiple exercises with rests in between sets and exercises…you will do all of the exercises back to back without rest. Once completed, that is set 1 and you will rest. A giant set typically has 3 or more exercises involved and is done for 3-5 sets with 2-3 minutes rest in between each set. It’s a great way to get in and get out if you’re in a hurry💪🏼⚡️🙌🏼🏆
PROTEIN TRES LECHES!!! you asked, we listened 😏💙 dropping soon!

“Roll the dice”🎲 - Charles Bukowski (Read By: Tom O’ Bedlam). “Be on the watch”. Big things to come for @cyfitherealist
, a special thanks to @originalmetroflexgym
for the use of the facility & the support. What I strive for when I make films is to capture, (the raw & natural side), that the human eye may overlook. This a TRAILER for @cyfitherealist
, I hope I did it justice. May all listen and potentially be inspired ... If I had one, wish it would be that. #staytruetoyourself
Alright guys, #contestprep
is over so the long awaited return of #bodybuilderfoodiechronicles
is here! After Saturday's successful 2nd place showing at NPC Central States, Sunday couldn't have started off better than with a quick leg workout followed by an epic brunch at @jonnycakescafe
in Canton, MI. I swear I'm the WORST at making decisions, so the fact that they have a sampler platter of pancakes makes my life sooo much better. First picture from front to back is the Apple Cider pancakes, Reese's pancakes, and Oreo pancakes. 2nd pic is an unmistakable Cinnamon Roll pancake. The sriracha soaked concoction is simply known as the sriracha chicken, an omelet stuffed with chicken, green peppers, onions, and tomatoes wrapped in a cheesy hash brown sandwich. I was totally mind blown by this meal, and as a first timer here at the restaurant I was definitely not disappointed. Nevermind the fact it is only 6 minutes from my house, I'd return to try more even if I had to drive an hour! #foodporn #brunchporn #brunch #legday #detroitfoodie #breakfast #foodie #pancakes #pancakeporn #sundayfunday #cheatmeal #bodybuilding #bodybuilder #fitfoodie #abs #refeed #carbs #carbloading #diabeetus #gains #fuckitjusteat #meatheadnation #classicphysique #offseason #npc #cantonfood #michiganfood #foodcoma
moving some weight today prepping for swolasaurus strongman winter classic (423 lbs) !!! So proud of all athletes that use our facilities. We love to see growth in all our members...Whether you’re just trying to stay healthy or you are competing @powerhousegymthornton
is cheering for you!
Making every rep count. When you get to the point when you feel like you cant do another repetition, this is when progress is made. This is what separates the mediocre from the great. Tap into your inner strength and results will soon follow.
Today is cheat day ... time to spend some $$$$$. brb PIZZA!!!
250lbs of @lycowarriorcoffee
ready to be roasted soon! Training to hold my own the next time in the DR with all the farmers!
My first bodybuilding competition with npc and I could not be more happy with the outcome . Got up with the big boys on stage and thought I had no chance , almost went home early and called quits . But I stayed and seen it to completion . Ended up placing in both my categories . 4th place in bodybuilding and 5th in classic .I worked really hard for this prep and cut myself to absolute shreds I weighed 162lbs on show day. Only place to go from here is up ! Time to get bulking . You won’t see me back on stage till I’m in the 200s. Lots of work to be done . Big thanks to the coach @tuttlenutrition
could not have done any of this without his help and support !
😍 Yup, we matched our flannels because we're disgusting...I mean cute... like that 😝
We had a blast yesterday! I went to my first pumpkin patch ever and we picked some oddballs to display in front of the house. 🎃
We mistakenly went to Walmart (while hungry) to "build our own Halloween candy mixes" and the pile grew and grew. (Over $60 later.... 🙄🤷). We tore into said candy on the way home, but TOTALLY for testing purposes before it gets handed out to the neighborhood kids. 😉
We visited one of our favorite little pubs & enjoyed the most delicous 🦀 pretzel just loaded with cream cheese and 🥓, I had an amazing piece of cajun grilled salmon on mixed greens with all types of goodness--pecans, brie, dried cranberries and sliced apples. 😍 .
Then we went home and indulged in ✌️ @citycakes
half pound cookies & ice cream + some moonshine we picked up on our Anniversary trip--while curled up on the couch watching a horror movie on Netflix. 🤗THE PERFECT SUNDAY with my Beebs.
Just wanted to say it's the little things like this that fill my heart. I'm happy I've got more time to spend with my love now that in my off season.😊

💪🏼 Happy Monday y’all 😘
Been out the gym for the last two days trying to recover from whatever illness/bug that’s going around plus worked the natural northern it was about time I got my butt back in here and got back to work! Getting so close to winning my pro card back in August is all the motivation in the world that I needed. Focused on one thing and one thing only... ascending to the next level 🦁🌹
Ever find yourself progressing on one of your lifts and then you suddenly decide to tone it down bc you’re ALMOST THERE?? I can’t tell you how many times I’ve fallen into this mentality. THIS IS LITERALLY ME WITH EVERY LIFT. Forever late to the 4 plate squat club BUT this is something new that I’m trying where I make my goals public so I’ll feel less inclined to slack. Encouraging y’all to try something new and tell ONE person about a goal you’re trying to achieve!! I always find myself going back to square 1 bc I’m ungrateful of all the little things in life, for example: gradual improvements on my lifts. I’m going to be posting my thoughts on ig in hopes that it will help shape the way you guys think.
Take a second to message a couple of the important people in your life and tell them one thing you appreciate about them. The other day I messaged an old friend of mine expressing to him how much I genuinely appreciate his time and effort put into recording some of my workouts from previous years. It only hit me now bc my new camera man doesn’t take anything seriously and records doodoo clips of me 😂😂. I learned it the hard way this year that often times, you don’t realize what you’ve got until you lose it. SO CONTINUE SPREADING LOVE TO YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS ❤️❤️ A HUGE THANKS TO:

The quote on my story said it best: “What you do makes a difference, and at some point you’ll need to decide what kind of difference you want to make”
When I get even one message on here saying that I’ve impacted someone in a positive way, it turns my whole day around. My biggest goal right now is to continue to have a positive influence on at least one person everyday.
Whether that be on here, at work, in my family, or a stranger on the street.
I want to provide more than I have, I want to be more than I’ve been. How? I don’t know yet.
But I know I was put on this earth to make a difference, as were you. Big or small, an impact is an impact. And even if it may seem small to you, it may be huge to someone else.
We all have the power to make a difference in this world, to have a positive impact on people.
What you do matters, make the decision to make a difference.
