I’ll stop with the graduation posts after this one 😉
After 4 years, 1500+ prac hours, being part of 60 births, countless antenatal and postnatal appointments and many sleepless nights, I have now officially graduated as a registered nurse and a registered midwife. It was definitely not for the faint of heart, and I don’t know how I did it, but somehow I did. I’ve wanted to be a midwife since I was like 7, so almost 20 years later it’s finally happening.
Right now I’m kind of in limbo, as I need to wait for my registration to come through before I can apply for my visa. People that know me, might now I’m a bit of a control freak, so I’m not completely enjoying this 😂 But I’m sure I’ll end up where I’m meant to be, and can’t wait to actually get paid to do this job haha.
Also little shoutout to @kilroynl
who helped me sign up for my degree 4 years ago, I wouldn’t even be here without their help. And off course a huge shoutout to all my friends, family and mentors who helped me get to the finish line ♥️

These nurses ♥️
I started this career with them, have grown with them, laughed with them, cried with them, healed with them and learned from them. They’ve pushed me, motivated me and protected me. I never expected nursing to give me a second family like this, but I think the nature of what we do, what we all work for everyday, is what brings us so close. You get to know each other in a personal way, running 12 hour physical, emotional and mental marathons day and night. Many of us have spread out and found new areas of practice but we managed to get back together for one great holiday night.
I’ve said it before - nursing is the best, when you work with a great team. So happy to call them my friends ♥️
