“Hi! Sorry I am trying to be better about responding to DMs! I got overwhelmed with the initial influx. I would be happy to give you details on how we met. I love your page! My husband Sawyer and I met in college at the University of Texas in Austin. He was a 4th year and had just gotten accepted to medical school. I was a 1st year pre-med who he had his eyes on 😊. So he approached me and said “Hey, if you want to grab lunch, I can give you tips on how to get into medical school.”

for your daily dose of Love in Medicine 💕
Definitely had a case of the Mondays today. I did get excited when we talked about our schedules though. Only 7 more weeks and I’ll be done with this semester!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
410 days until graduation, not that I’m counting or anything.😉
💜First day as a working RN. What a journey to get to this point. When I say journey I mean journeyyyyyyy! Yesterday was my last weekend as a LPN (bittersweet feeling) but today was awesome being introduced as the new registered nurse 💜😃.
P.S. I’m not giving details about my specialty as of yet 🤪 you can stick around to find out on a further post.
There’s a program that exists where public health nurses come to visit and check up on mothers and their new born babies. I had the chance to shadow this and learn about this program.
I think it’s great that we have the resources available to do these kind of visits. It helps the mothers to get much needed care postpartum and gives some much needed (educational) socialization. Mothers need this kind of support during these first few weeks especially, because many physical, emotional, and psychological changes are occurring.
It was interesting to see how the head nurse addressed the situations depending on how many children the mother already previously had given birth to. You could see a noticeable increased anxiety level for the new mom vs experienced mom. It’s important we make sure both cases are given equally good care and education for their babies and themselves. It’s better to give them all of the information they might need, vs potentially leaving out information that could be useful one day.

let’s talk about HAULS 🍏🍓🥦🥑 hi, my name is Gracie and i’m a Trader Joe’s addict 🙈 like seriously, it’s my happy place. headphones in with a podcast going, snacks and drinks at the sample station, strolling the aisles and i am one happy lady.
i go grocery shopping for my main haul once a week, typically Saturday or Sunday evenings (pretty much only need to go to TJs). i get all that i need for breakfast, smoothies, lunches, and a few dinners (the rest come from a meal delivery service). i don’t have time to go after before/after work and i prefer to do one large trip so i can make the most of my other days off. one important part of successfully meal-prepping is having a fully stocked fridge and pantry so that everything is right where you need it. having to run out to the store multiple times a week is freaking annoying, so get it one and done and get yourself set for the week!
at this point, i’ve got it down to *almost* a science, and here are my tips for a successful grocery haul: ✔️ figure out the store that fits your needs best! can you guess what mine is?? i hate when grocery shopping takes multiple stops, so for me and my needs I’ve realized Trader Joe’s is where it’s at. it’s also a more reasonable size in my opinion, because I get really overwhelmed by giant super stores and feel like I spent FOREVER roaming the aisles looking for one thing ✔️ make a list and be specific! i know, sounds like a “duh” but it’s seriously 🔑 shopping takes sooo much longer if you have to stop and try to remember what you need. plan out what meals you want to eat for the week and write out everything you’ll need. yes everythingggg ✔️ check what you already have at home! i get super annoyed when i buy a lot of produce that i think i will eat but then it goes bad. by writing out the exact ingredients for your planned-ahead meals, you can cross off what you already have. this saves you💰and time at the store ✔️ find your staples! when i find something i like to eat, i usually stick with it for quite a while, especially if it saves me time and makes meal prep easy. for me, these are pre-made salads, pre-grilled chicken, and frozen brown rice. LIFE CHANGING my friends!!

As a student & a lover of FASHION (thank you sex and the city, clueless & my extra indian roots), I love a good thrift store shopping! ⚡You can find unique pieces & save $$$. Some of my tips/tricks:
💸 Shop the men's section, this is my favorite spot! Best oversized sweaters, baggy YEEZY style tees, champion shirts/sweaters.Tommy Hilfiger. A thrift store GEM. ✨ Wear a short sleeve dress in case your thrift store doesn't have a changing room. You can put shirts over top or try on jeans in a corner (not a cute moment).
✌️Pick up anything that catches your eye, don't take too long deciding the moment you see something, if you want it. We will do this later. A thrift store can be overwhelming so save the headache, pick it up if it's remotely cute & at the end..decide to keep OR not.
💰Go during week day, early morning. Less people, less fuss. More clean too.
👠 When you are going through what you keep OR not keep, ask yourself can I wear this today? This has saved me from unnecessary purchases & a lot of $$$. Don't think, "I can wear maybe on this occasion, with that top and this denim." No. 🔥 Go to different neighborhoods (more expensive) and check out their thrift stores. .

BIG APOLOGIES for not being able to upload, or update enough on this page. I have a HUGE test next week, and I have been studying for almost 3 weeks now. This test is the biggest test we have this semester, and it has kicked numerous butts before. .
It involves two BIG topic, and a small ones; acid-base, fluids and electrolytes, and Respiratory. ☠️✌🏽 I hope you guys can see why I’ve been so MIA. .
On top of studying, I’ve been trying to find the perfect way for me to study. I have done a lot of revision on how I study within these past weeks. I have done pictures (might show on my story later on), written out on a notebook, and flashcards via quizlet. So far, nothing worked. Then, I got inspired by how @nursingdiaries
utilized post it in one of her post, so I decided to use them! .
From then on, it had WORKED. I don’t know the science behind it, but somehow I can easily remember and understand the information using this. I don’t have anything specific really to say on how I do it. Just wanted to share it🤪✌🏽.
I’d just like to put out a disclaimer that the information might not be 100% right in these post-it. If there is something wrong, pls tell me. Hahahahaha, so I can correct it. Back to studying✨✌🏽

🙋🏼♀️ I used to be scared to go to the gym, so I didn’t.
🙋🏼♀️ I use to walk around the gym aimlessly because I didn’t know what to do.
🙋🏼♀️ I use to just do cardio cause I didn’t know how to lift.
🙋🏼♀️ I use to spend money on a gym membership I never used.
🙋🏼♀️ I ate like crap because I had no guidance and didn’t know what I should be eating.
🙋🏼♀️ I kept falling off because I didn’t have support from those around me.

Week 1 day 1 in the books!!
Today kicks off the first week of training with @thechrisdowning
I got to train LIVE with him in Indianapolis this past summer and knew I needed to do his program. You need your daily motivation to stay on track? He’s got your damn motivation. When he says jump, you JUMP.
These last 3 months I have been working out 4 days a week for 30-40 minutes a day. We are shifting gears TODAY. I can’t wait to see where my body goes with this new training style + calendar. Lifting weights has a new place in my heart, but your girl has missed her cardio. Before photos coming tomorrow. I can’t wait to share every step with you all! Stay tuned. 🤟🏼
Want to try one of his workouts before going all in? Send me a message, don’t skip a Monday!! 📲
