First session, taking things easy and just getting back into the routine. Using a push, pull, legs method for the remainder of the holidays and possibly into uni. Kept it simple today, compound (4x8) then isolation (3x12) for chest. Repeat with shoulders then some tricep isolation to finish off. Focusing on form, TUT and mind muscle connection. Late but oh well breakfast was so amazing. As you can tell i did not cook this, but i still made sure i ate healthy. Starting off is an egg white scramble with mixed veggies, a bowl of fruit, two oranges, two chicken biscuits, and some good oj. Loved every bit of it and i was to stay under a thousand calories. TO START // This AMAZING & TASTY snack/dessert recipe for you ❤️🌿 PLANT POWERED COCONUT MACAROONS // This allergy-friendly dessert recipe is a great, kid-approved recipe that whips up in a jiffy! Loaded with healthy fats and natural sweetness from the coconut and maple syrup, this recipe is a healthy and alkalizing way to satisfy a sweet tooth, especially when in a pinch for time. BEST INGREDIENTS EVER // 1 Cup unsweetened shredded coconut ¼ cup coconut oil, melted 2-3 TB cacao powder 1/8 cup maple syrup ¼ tsp vanilla 1/8 tsp sea salt HOW TO MAKE YOUR MASTERPIECE // 1) Mix all ingredients into a food processor until well combined (you may have to scrape down the sides a few times). 2) Form into balls and place on a small plate lined with parchment paper. Some shoulder pics and a caption about common diet mistakes comin atcha! 😜 . . 🍎 According to a study performed by the CDC, 49% of adults have tried to lose weight in the last year — meaning HALF the population is dieting! Most respondents also said that they used a variety of methods, which may explain why many people don’t have success with their weight loss efforts. . . 🏋🏻‍♀️ Being too drastic with changes can be super tough to stick to & typically leads to gaining all the weight back once the “diet” period ends. Another common mistake I see is IMPATIENCE! Healthy weight loss is a slow & steady process. You have to be consistent and willing to wait for your body to respond. That may mean allowing a few weeks for real change to begin, folks! But I promise it’s worth it when you do it the right way. . . 😊 As for me, I’m allowing myself 5 more weeks untracked with normal healthy eating. After that, I’ll crank up the intensity for 7 weeks to really push myself! But since I’m “dieting” for 12 weeks total, I will be able to keep calories high & not cardio myself into oblivion = a healthy happy approach to weight loss! . . Double salad duty last night! I’ve made a version of this before and since it’s so easy, it’s great for a BBQ or anything where you have to feed a group of people. Baby arugula / 🥒/ 🥑/ cherry 🍅s/ 🌽/ slivered almonds / avocado oil + balsamic vinaigrette + balsamic glaze 💚🥗✅ quick tip: Core the seeds out of those cucumbers and if you don’t have fresh corn, use canned.
