7 years ago, I was obsessed with running 6 miles every day, working a retail job that had me on my feet in heels 6+ hours a day, and the only weight training I was doing was body weight core exercises. I was 107 pounds, working so much that I was living off of fruit bowls from the food court in the mall. It was the year after this that I went to school for nutrition. Fast forward 6 years. We had been living in Okinawa for about 6 months when I realized I had an issue. People ask me “how big were you when you started this journey?” Well, when I started, I wasn’t big, I was actually unhealthily small, and I started learning about food and it’s importance and began gaining weight. I always stayed between 125-135, but moving here caused my stress levels to go way, way up. I was going to school full-time, my husband was back and forth between the states over and over again, no childcare for the gym, and I was struggling with time management to make eating healthy a priority. I saw 155 on the scale and I knew I needed to make a change. Some of you may have rolled your eyes when you read that number, but all of us have different breaking points. I was a nutritionist and definitely did not look the part.
One year later... I have dedicated HOURS to the gym, but mostly, I have re-dedicated myself to eating right and making that a priority. I’ve lost some weight, 11 pounds in a year, which may seem like a small amount, but at the same time, I’ve put on muscle, made huge progress in my lifts and fitness overall, and have gotten things right mentally.
I think my favorite thing about doing what I do is that I am able to grow and progress with all of my clients. Their drive and commitment fuels mine. Winter & hot chocolate. One of those match made in heaven combos. Here is how to make it in seriously 3 minutes, minus added sugar & with the option of making it dairy free. There is one tool that is definitely required however, which I think is a kitchen essential, especially if you are a foodie... a milk frother! @aldiaustralia

Back to the hot chocolate. Simply pour into the milk frother milk of choice (almond/coconut/rice milk for DF) to the max line. Add in a small piece of good quality dark chocolate. I highly recommend @thenoosachocolatefactory
100% (it’s seriously the best real chocolate you will ever eat) or Lindt 90% from the grocery store. Put the frother on the hot setting & let it work it’s magic.
