✨🍃 En ese tiempo yo era vegana y no es por nada... pero siempre que mejor me he sentido y visto es cuando llevo una alimentación y hábitos limpios en todos los sentidos: 🍃 llevar mi estilo de vida hasta en los fines de semana sin privarme de algún antojo en alguna comida o snack. (No todo el día). 🍃 al comee fuera siempre priorizae vegetales y preparaciones naturales sin mantequilla o aceites añadidos. 🍃 decir que no a cosas/ planes que no quiero hacer. 🍃 comer la mayor parte del tiempo comida preparada en casa. ( a tope de Tupper 😂👏🏻). 🍃 basada en #comidareal el 80% y procesados como miel de agave, tofu, café y algunas lehes vegetales, chocolate +70% cacao. Ojo, no significa que los procesados tengan que ser NO sanos. 🍃bajarle al café y consumir más té verde/rojo. 🍃 hacer ejercicio 5 veces a la semana. Agarrar rutina por las mañanas. Tried a new yogurt today made from flax milk. It’s dairy-free and nut-free. This brand reminded me more of Greek yogurt for its thickness. I liked how it has 5 grams of plant protein and contains live cultures, beneficial for your gut (I’ve also been taking a probiotic capsule every morning). But since it is flavored, it does have 17 grams of sugar....yikes!! 😬 . . . Thoughts?! Again, this goes back to the basic idea that there are two mains things that can help someone lose fat, which is either increasing activity or decreasing total caloric intake. 🦄 . Fueled by bread, fruit, veggies, pasta, rice, beans, fat, cheese, gluten, pizza, cereal, some processed foods, and various other items that have developed the title of "bad for you". Granted, physical appearance is not the only indicator of overall health and variables such as genetics and hormones are not taken into consideration with this post but I wanted to break the myth that there is no food, in and of itself, that can be the reason why you are not reaching your goals. I also can't emphasize enough that what works for one person may not work for you!! A diabetic probably should not divulge in the amount of carbs that I do because of the adverse effects on glucose levels. 7 years ago, I was obsessed with running 6 miles every day, working a retail job that had me on my feet in heels 6+ hours a day, and the only weight training I was doing was body weight core exercises. I was 107 pounds, working so much that I was living off of fruit bowls from the food court in the mall. It was the year after this that I went to school for nutrition. Fast forward 6 years. We had been living in Okinawa for about 6 months when I realized I had an issue. People ask me “how big were you when you started this journey?” Well, when I started, I wasn’t big, I was actually unhealthily small, and I started learning about food and it’s importance and began gaining weight. I always stayed between 125-135, but moving here caused my stress levels to go way, way up. I was going to school full-time, my husband was back and forth between the states over and over again, no childcare for the gym, and I was struggling with time management to make eating healthy a priority. I saw 155 on the scale and I knew I needed to make a change. Some of you may have rolled your eyes when you read that number, but all of us have different breaking points. I was a nutritionist and definitely did not look the part. One year later... I have dedicated HOURS to the gym, but mostly, I have re-dedicated myself to eating right and making that a priority. I’ve lost some weight, 11 pounds in a year, which may seem like a small amount, but at the same time, I’ve put on muscle, made huge progress in my lifts and fitness overall, and have gotten things right mentally. I think my favorite thing about doing what I do is that I am able to grow and progress with all of my clients. Their drive and commitment fuels mine. Winter & hot chocolate. One of those match made in heaven combos. Here is how to make it in seriously 3 minutes, minus added sugar & with the option of making it dairy free. There is one tool that is definitely required however, which I think is a kitchen essential, especially if you are a foodie... a milk frother! @aldiaustralia produces the goods with an awesome stand alone one that I recommend to everyone and it’s so affordable! . Back to the hot chocolate. Simply pour into the milk frother milk of choice (almond/coconut/rice milk for DF) to the max line. Add in a small piece of good quality dark chocolate. I highly recommend @thenoosachocolatefactory 100% (it’s seriously the best real chocolate you will ever eat) or Lindt 90% from the grocery store. Put the frother on the hot setting & let it work it’s magic. . The heat of the frother will melt the chocolate turning the milk into a hot chocolate cup of goodness. So easy hey? If you aren’t interested in the frother, that’s cool heat these two ingredients together in a saucepan. . Be sure to try one before the weather starts warming up (only about 6 weeks until Spring, not counting or anything)
