I’ve always wondered whether the Michelin guide would come to Toronto. Regardless, the food scene in Toronto is becoming noticeable down south as well. Back in July, when I visited NYC, I was talking to someone who worked at The International Culinary Center who praised Toronto’s growing and diverse food scene 🙂

is mine, it’s not perfect, it’s not right for you, it’s not gourmet nor is it fancy, but it’s simple and it works for me ✨✨ what’s cool about this food is that I MEAL PREPPED (!!) so I just had to put it together, and I’m pretty psyched about that too. ✨✨I hear so often from clients that they aren’t sure what works for them, how to figure out what works for them, and why their food doesn’t (physically and/or emotionally) feel good... hello 👋🏻 and let me help you with that. So much of what we feel about our food has to do with our experience of it, and taps into our relationship with our food, that’s work I do a LOT of as well. Healthy relationships span from those with ourselves, our partners, friends and even our food.

Too hungry to get a pic of the food, but Marty V Burger is a great vegan burger spot in Midtown Manhattan. As a picky eater, I can genuinely say it didn’t taste like you were eating grass and the cheese was actually melted so I give this place an A. About 10$ for a combo which includes fries and a drink. Definitely not bad for Manhattan and for a vegan spot. I’d go back. #vegan #manhattan #nyc #foodblogger #foodie #nycfoodie

These three, formidable Ramen Titans each offered up their storied backgrounds and expressed their individual but shared, common desire to educate their customers on the different, regional varieties of ramen -- there are many other types of ramen beyond the popular tonkotsu-style...like Miso!! Shoyu!! Shio...!! Curry...!
💡Perhaps the most poignant takeaway for me was something Chef Nakamura said when he decided to open his shop here in NYC - "Of course I want to present what is 'my ramen', what is Nakamura Ramen. It's very hard to find a chicken-based, classical Ramen in the United States so I tried to make it here to show what Japan's ramen-style is...that's pretty important [to preserve, honor and share] ramen history. But still, ramen history is developing RIGHT NOW not only in Japan, but even here in the United States."
⛩•TRADITION is important, but the history of ramen as a cuisine/dish is still being written. Chef Nakamura hopes that ramen becomes "more" and continues to evolve in the United States, "ramen is basically local culture, mixed," - it's inevitable and even desirable for local flavors and ingredients to find themselves incorporated into a chef's expression of their ramen!!
