PALERMO, ITALY — Pasta alla norma (tomato sauce, aubergines, basil) at the bustling Bisso Bistrot, located in the northwest corner of Palermo’s most beautiful junction “Quattro Canti,” which divides the city’s four neighborhoods.
Dessert before dinner is needed sometimes. Especially when it’s our delicious peaches and cream tart topped with peach gewürztraminer sorbet.
A box of #glutenfree
goodness! Vanilla sandwich cookies (recipe is on the blog) and chewy, fudgy, chocolate sugar cookies.
What today needed was dark chocolate chip cookies with crunchy sea salt on top. And a cold glass of milk.
Cloudy, rainy days don’t come very often in the Phoenix valley, but when they do I crave some hot, tasty, fresh homemade noodles from @nanzhouhanddrawnnoodlehouse
I’ve been pretty obsessed with this place since I first found them. You can watch them make the noodles from scratch, the food comes out in just a few minutes and it’s always been so good! Pictured here is the Beef Stir Fry Noodle (I like spicy, so I got the XO version, even then I like adding some chili oil). Also, the whole dish may just be one very long noodle.
Rainy day food at its finest.

One of my favorite things to do @food52
is test impending genius recipes for @miglorious.
I tested these eggplant(!!) chocolate brownie cakes back in June and was very impressed by them, especially considering they manage to maintain the richness you’d expect from a traditional brownie despite eschewing any overt fat source (only naturally occurring from the chocolate and almond flour). The recipe is finally up. Make ‘em! (📸: @tymecham

I introduced House Foods tofu in today's lunch via this Asian chopped salad. I tastes so much better with a little boost of protein. House Foods tofu is an affordable way to add protein to any meal.
Ingredients- - 2 cups chopped napa cabbage - 1 cup chopped red cabbage
- 1/4 cup carrots, peeled and grated - 1/4 cup broccoli stem, peeled and grated - 2 green onions, thinly sliced - 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro - 1 pack of @housefoodsamerica
- 1/3 cup smooth peanut butter - 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar - 2 Tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce - 2 Tablespoons brown sugar - 1 Tablespoon Sriracha chili sauce - 1 large garlic clove, pressed - 1 Tablespoon Lemon juice - 1 Tablespoon Maple syrup
For the tofu - cut the @housefoodsamerica
tofu in cubes and sear with soy sauce, lemon juice and maple syrup.
For the salad - combine cabbages, carrots, broccoli, green onion ,cilantro and tofu.
For the dressing - In a seperate bowl add peanut butter, vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, sriracha and garlic to a food processor and blend until well combined. Add water to your desired thickness.
Cover and refrigerate the salad and the dressing separately. Toss in the dressing right before serving #tofuboost #housefoods #sponsored
Wine night. Very much needed today. Sometimes days don't flow how you plan them to and that's ok. So McDonald's it was for Chris and Mila. Oh and I made grilled shrimp with baked potatoes for the adults.
This is my first year tackling two separate schools, schedules, and changes with my kids. Its only day 8 and I already need a break. Between a new school, homework, lunches, meet and greets, saying hello to old friends and introducing new friends, I'm trying my hardest to stay optimistic. Thank god for wine! And my husband.
I'm also babysitting my moms dog (day 4) and he's like another child. #ventover #enjoythewine #momsnightin
