First workout in 8, no 9? days? I don’t know. I feel like death. I was on a plane for 12ish hours yesterday and I’m tired AF.
I still forced myself to get in and do the damn thing. I have a comp this weekend so trying to get back into the groove.
No more gelato, no more French baguettes 😭, no more handmade pasta 😭😭😭😭
But that’s okay, back to goals and back to reality.

This week took me for a spin. With a new schedule and an unforseen circumstance, i only made time to train twice this week. Fortunately they were both high quality sessions. This doesn't mean my goals are on hold or even that I'm set back. This is just a reminder to you all that life happens, and sometimes you have to prioritize what's important. Make sure that the the time you make is worth it, and then make it count!
Here are some pulling drills from Wednesday to help with my snatch. Was supposed to be doing a Snatch Pull, but i was by myself due to my schedule and ended up doing Snatch High Pulls 5x5 at 85lbs instead without knowing. Lol. Some bent over rows too. 4x10 @ 105lbs.
Some light work snatch complexes earlier this week with - below knee snatch + snatch + OHS. Trying to build my confidence with catching the weight in a squat snatch. Used to avoid this like the plague triple jump days (👵🏽) and stick with power snatch. Some technique tweaks to made but slowly adding this to the kit bag #crossfit #olympiclifting #techniquework #girlsthatlift #olygirls #stronger

Forgot to post this amazing session i had two days ago. Loved this "Anderton" squat complex. 1 3-sec pause front squat + 1 1/4 front squat + 1 front squat. I felt confident on every set! Sets shown are at 155lbs and 175lbs. Form looked really clean.
Practiced some upper body gymnastics and core afterwards and finished my day with a push complex. Shown here: 1 push press + 1 push jerk + 1 split jerk at 95lbs. Yes, my splits need some work, but I'm ready and willing
3RM back squat at 228lbs. Its a PR by 9lbs! Very pleased with the way these looked after reviewing the video, because they felt really ugly the whole time i was under the bar. I was too ready to drop it to bother with re-racking 😂. Now that i see myself, i probably had one more rep in me!!!
