All three of us got new cameras recently. @gardenofhopecreations
has been into instant film for a while and I thought it was time for an upgrade. Amelia is just getting started. I'm not quite ready to hand over one of my Leicas to her just yet. She LOVES this camera from @edswoodentoyshop.
We don't have any toys that light up or anything and it's amazing to have something for her handmade with as much love as these toys are.
I had been toying with the idea of getting a digital camera for some time. I've had a few over the years but nothing has really felt RIGHT to me. I needed something that inspires me the way my Leicas do. When the Pen F was first released I was very interested. I told myself I didn't need it for about a year and then finally pulled the trigger. This camera has been so great! I can shoot at ISO 12,800 which is CRAZY but that was a big selling point for me at my current stage of life. A young daughter who is constantly on the move won't always sit still long enough for slower shutter speeds! Plus, it just feels right. Perfect size, great weight, rangefinder style. It works the way I want it to, feels natural and doesn't get in the way.
Final note: I love my @tapanddye
wrist strap. I've had it for years now (maybe 2012? Could that be right? It was just an Etsy shop then). I actually own 3 of them; one for each of my Leicas (M6, M3 and IIIC). One of them I gave to my pops and now one is on the Pen. What great craftsmanship. They get better and more comfortable with age. If you need a strap go check out Justin's work!
Okay enough time posting. Time to get out and make some photographs!
