Are you feeling your body move through space, or feeling the space in your body?
How fully immersed can I be in this one experience?
for the questions. This made me miss my time at the breathing project (Love you @embodiedasana
For me it’s been really interesting to go back to horseback riding and to watch how it affects my sensations in yoga practice. I felt so much connection to episode 3 of the summer series of Yogaland. ⠀⠀
I’ve worked hard over the years to build stability and functionality. I remember an instructor laughing at my floppy chaturanga, and working a solid 3 years to get to crow pose. ⠀⠀
After adding horses back into my life, warrior 2, side angle, and especially baddha konasana (butterfly stretch/ cobbler’s pose/ bound angle depending on what vocabulary you come from) are interesting and sensational after years of being places to look for engagement or learn to be quiet in the face of lack of resistance. It’s been shocking, fun, interesting, and shockingly not too bruising to my ego. I guess this whole getting curious about the experience thing really works. .
What do you guys think? Have a similar story? The opposite? Tag me in your newly interesting pose! I want to learn more. .
