Talking about organic food or leading a healthy lifestyle is not and should not be treated as a fad. The rise of CANCER has made it necessary for us to undergo a lifestyle change and fix ourselves from the inside out. The power of eating organic as well as the right kind of foods to combat life-threatening diseases can not be stressed enough.
It is important to understand that going organic is very simple and achievable. It’s just about going back to doing things the natural way, which means staying as close to nature as possible.🌿 As an agrarian economy, it is also our duty to give back to the people responsible for all the food that we eat- OUR FARMERS and support them in growing produce the right way, without the use of pesticides or GMO’s. (Farmer suicides is a discussion for another day)
This is our mission and if you believe in it too, we’d love for you to become a part of the TFS Community and show your love by tagging us with #FarmersFirst .
Buenos dias! My duffelbag is once again packed for new adventures. This time I am going to one of my favorite parts of the world- South America. And beloved Peru.
A old picture from another trip I did. But maybe I will find this beautiful old woman outside her house with all her animals again?
I'm taking a little selfish me-time, soaking up some sunshine before winter hits.
It's warm for April, and I've found a cosy little nook out of the wind (as an added bonus, the kids have yet to find me!!) 😉
It's funny though, I never realise how much I need the sun until I get out here and it starts seeping into my bones. ☀️ Did you know that sunlight and darkness trigger the release of hormones in your brain? Exposure to sunlight is thought to increase the brain's release of a hormone called serotonin, which helps lift the mood and could even lessen depression!
Not only that, but we obtain Vitamin D from the sun. Vitamin D helps us maintain bone and teeth health, supports the immune system, and is even said to be great for weight loss! It's also purported to lower cholesterol and blood pressure!
The German solders after WWI knew of the discoveries that had been made in 1903 by the Nobel Prize winner, Niels Finsen. They used sunlight to disinfect and heal wounds! Sun exposure is even said to help skin disorders such as psoriasis, acne, excema and fungal infections of the skin.

Tomorrow I turn 32. What a trip. Time is so strange.. Anyway, I'm feeling incredibly lucky to have had 32 years of life...learning, loving, growing, breathing, connecting.. I can say that I have fully embraced every age I've been so far, and I intend to embrace every year that comes in the future. If I enjoy being every age that I am, then I can move on from it, to the next age, without holding on, wishing to be forever young. I can let the younger years fall into the past because I lived them fully, and look forward to what my mid 30s, 40s, 50, 60s, 70s.. 80s?, hold for me with excitement and anticipation.
What a precious gift all of this is ♡
