I recently posted how my experience in Austin was one of the most rewarding things I had done for myself in long time. The experience also taught me it doesn’t take an extravagant budget to travel and experience new places. . . During the planning process I had budgeted just enough to stay in Austin for 4 nights — at a hotel in the middle of everything. . . Fortunately, prior to my trip @kfoylefitness advised me that Austin was a pretty cool place and I should try to stay longer to experience more of the city if possible. . . . Back to the drawing board — I cancelled my hotel reservation and found a “tiny home” on the East side for only $30/night. BEST DECISION EVER! . . It was tiny AF (more like a shed!), it was cold, the bathroom was across the entire property, I was told not to walk around the neighborhood at night — BUT I wouldn’t trade the experience for a 5 star hotel even if I could. Pouring rain on a tin roof — PRICELESS! . . The day I started focusing on what I think of myself, how beautiful I think I am, how I carry myself a human and as a woman, is the day I freed myself. Fighting for someone’s affection and attention is pointless, you’ll end up being disappointed, changing your appearance to please someone else is ridiculous, you’ll end up feeling inadequate. Comparing yourself to another woman is downright silly, you are wonderfully and astonishingly UNIQUE. Why on earth would you want to look like or act like someone else? Society will always have unrealistic expectations of what a woman should look like, act like and be. I say to hell with that! The most successful and barrier shattering women in history have always gone against the grain. BE THAT WOMAN THAT CHANGES THE WORLD. No man or woman should ever make you feel small because you are GRAND, the possibilities are endless when you hold true to that statement. I am the best combat sports coach on the planet, I will slowly prove it. It has taken me my entire life to understand what it was about combat sports that struck me with such awe.
