All this snow has me wishing I was on my favorite beach soaking up the sun and blue skies 🌞 what do you prefer? Summer days or winter days?
A shot from last spring when I visited Cape Kiwanda for the first time. This was the final day of the trip where I drove down to Bend to photograph Smith Rock for a few days, then from there up the coast back to Portland.
I wasn’t initially happy with this image, but after learning more processing techniques I think it got closer to what I imagined when taking the image. Hope you enjoy!

↟ Here is a tiny glimpse of our hike last weekend ↟
Portland looks good on you
Let's get dicey at the Sun Room.
Countdown to the three-day weekend is on.
Today we head back to Portland from our glorious lil coastal getaway in Seaside, and I couldn’t be more grateful for a partner that encourages me away from my workaholic lifestyle to remind me how good it feels to put down the computer and play! We swam and ate seafood and rode bikes at sunset, caught a screening of “Dirty Dancing” at the tiny theatre in town and adventured to Cannon beach... it was a perfect trip and I’m not ready to leave! Thank you @ashorehotel
for having us (all of us! Isaac loved his stay too!), we absolutely love your hotel! And @risaexpizza
I love you more each day, I’m so glad you’re mine 🥰 #peopleilove #queerlove
First glimpses of the ocean from the trail!
I love this lady so much. They said you will love many people along they way to true love. They said it we’ll be when you are not around her and you have a random memory, or smell or thought about her and you catch your self glowing. She makes me happy keeps my shit in check. She loves me for who I am and for the simple fact that I do stupid shit to make her smile.

you are amazing.
Happy Hump Day everybody! This is my girl, Trixie 🌸 We got Trixie as a companion for Shiloh and so I could get back into agility. She is an English Shepherd and having done some research on her breed, we knew going in that she may have the tendency to be shy towards those not part of our family. We knew socialization was incredibly important. Therefore, once she was old enough, we went through numerous classes where she learned all her basic commands and had the opportunity to meet and play with many dogs. Everything was going well! She was very happy to play and met dogs appropriately. 🌟 However, when we started agility, I noticed her becoming reactive towards other dogs. Her hackles would raise and she would growl at the end of her leash. I can’t pin point any event that triggered a change but nevertheless we had this obstacle in front of us. I started taking Trixie to group walks, which have been very helpful and we continued agility. She is much better now but is still easily triggered by dogs and people she doesn’t know. 🦖 Trixie’s ideal world would be to live at home, free of anything or anyone new. She likes to stay in her comfort zone. New experiences bring anxiety and she is completely worn out afterwards. 😴 Sound familiar? It does for me. I’d love to stay home in my comfort zone too. I also have anxiety in new situations and feel completely exhausted, especially after meeting new people. But isolation and comfort zones aren’t healthy as a way of life. No growth can be achieved, relationships can’t form, and we end up missing out in many wonderful things. Trixie shows me a side of myself I don’t like to look at or challenge. But together we get out, we make ourselves expand, and we realize new people and experiences don’t have to be terrifying but a way for us to appreciate more of the world and people in it 🌎
And here we have the worlds largest shark tooth.
Very memorable Birthday that ended on the coast. What you cannot see are the two Seals that were swimming along the shoreline, following me as I was walking. Get you some spirit animal knowledge so you can be open to the signs that are given to you in the most critical of times. That rhymes.
Cape P never disappoints.
I was originally going to caption this dodging moon jellies this a.m., because there are hundreds of them... but then I also thought about the four cups I had to walk up the steps with my two dogs....This place is beautiful let’s try to keep it that way. Every time I come up or down these steps we find papercups and plastic bottles set near this bench. There is literally a garbage can if you walk up the next step, or if you walk a block you will find a place you could put them in the recycling. Let’s all try to do our part ✨bring your own reusable cups or at least pick up your garbage and don’t leave it down near the water. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
