Our front yard is always changing: one week a magnificent soaring sandstone tower, the next a turquoise alpine lake. But one thing that tends to follow us into even the most remote places? Traces of fellow humans, left both on purpose and accidentally. We’ve stumbled upon things like fruit snack packages, soggy clothing, baby diapers, books, full bottles of sunscreen (and @mikhailahoward
and others have even found couches and full (with 💩) diy potties.)
This is a big reason why we started severely reducing our plastic usage, and why we’ve done two *completely plastic free* months so far this year (while traveling and living full-time on the road). We’ve been so stoked to see other vanlifers get on board with #plasticfreejuly
, sharing experiences, tips, and tricks.
When you spend as much time in our public lands as we do you realize that it’s all of our jobs to keep these places clean, to take care of them for our future generations. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve found out in nature? And what are you doing to help keep our beautiful public lands better than you found them?
