We are so happy that @washingtonledesmamv
will be returning to the Holiday Fair for the 1st and 2nd weekends of the show (December 8-9, 14-16)! Washington uses vibrant colors to create unique paintings and ceramic pieces. His work often features animals, 3 breasted goddesses (the trinity of "to do, to have and to be"), fish and Noah's Ark.
Washington began his career in Uruguay, where he worked with a socially and politically conscious printmaking group, exhibiting throughout Latin America. In the early 1970s, a military dictatorship forced him to leave Uruguay. He settled in NYC and continued making art. Come see his work at the Harvard Square Holiday Fair!
Also, Washington loves sweets. So, it's good that we'll have Black Flower Chocolates at the show. AND, that we are just around the corner from @tattebakery
on Mass Ave!
