While stopping to photograph the epic view of Hundarap village, I noticed these two boys nearby sitting and hiding from the sun under a little umbrella next to their grazing cows.
They were watching me take photos anyway, so I figured I might as well say hello and made my way over to them.
We exchanged salaams and they asked me where I was from in Urdu. I responded with Amreeka, then asked the same of them in my own crude Urdu.
I am from Phander said the boy with the red hat. My eyes widened with surprise as Phander was a long ways off for two boys on foot.
I motioned walking with my fingers and he nodded. Kitna time hai, how much time?
Four hours, he said nonchalantly. One day he added upon seeing my expression, pointing further down the road then sweeping back to point in the direction of Phander village.
To think many kids are too lazy to go outside at all now, let alone walk the family cows for 8+ hours each day.
