4 Steps to a Fitmas Tree! 🎄 💫 . Looking for something fun and healthy to do over the holidays? I got you covered! Not only is this idea super cute but it’s very practical. . I shared this fruit tree with my friends the other day and it was a total hit! 😋 It’s very easy to grab the fruit off the toothpicks and of course aesthetically pleasing. . What you need: 1 pineapple 1 pear 1 wooden shish kebob skewer Pack of toothpicks Star cookie cutter (or if you’re skilled, you can just cut it in a star shape) Strawberries Purple grapes Green grapes Kiwis Blackberries (Option to add other fruits like oranges etc - have fun with it!) . What to do: Step 1 - Slice off the edges of the pineapple & the top. Cut an extra top slice for the star (make sure it’s thick enough so the star isn’t flimsy). Step 2 - Trim the top off a pear and use the shish kebob skewer to connect the pear and pineapple. Step 3 - Prepare the colorful fruit. Cut the tops off of strawberries and cut kiwis into slices. Step 4 - Use toothpicks to stick the fruit around the pineapple and pear. Use a toothpick to stick the pineapple star on the very top. . I’d love to see the versions you create! What are you cheating? In this ‘cheat meal’ you still consume calories, just like any ‘honest meal.’ And those calories are not exempt. - - Secondly. Whilst calorie dense meals can be facilitated in moderation, if you feel the need to have a monumental calorie blowout regularly, your diet is either unenjoyable or unsustainable. To ‘cheat’ regularly is to escape the core values of your goal because of struggle or lack of belief that the goal can be achieved. - Thirdly. My graphic is an example of how these excessive meals could affect a calorie deficit. Though this specific example involves a goal derived 1700 calorie per day diet, the point remains for any calorie target. In this case, the meal & dessert on the left could fit the goal, but only if the individual didn’t eat for a day afterwards. - - The proposition is: one excessive meal and 3-5 hours of satiety or six meals, a few snacks and 48 hours of satiety for the same calorie value. Both work, but consistently consuming intense calorie dense meals may hinder overall adherence to the goal. - - Instead of ‘cheating’, looking at food objectively is better. Experienced fitpro’s may refer to their flexible diet by referencing gargantuan ‘cheat meals’ to show that they can performs dieting miracles, but the reality is that, overall, they are cheating nothing. They are aware of their overall energy intake. But for someone less informed and desperately trying to lose weight, the whole concept of cheating is misleading, pointless and unhelpful. - - The mindset of ‘cheat’ says “I’m getting away with it” or “it doesn’t count”. But in reality, you’re not getting away with it and it does count. Consuming a meal excessive in calories can absolutely fit your goal, but bare in mind that blindly doing it often may have a detrimental effect 🙂. -

made a simple but sooo flavorful breakfast plate this morning🙌 banana pancakes with a side of almond butter + cashew yogurt😋 Recipe is below: _____________________________________________ 1 1/4 cup almond flour 1 Tbsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt 1 banana 1 Tbsp coconut oil 3/4 cup almond milk 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 tsp cinnamon 1 scoop collagen 1 tsp ground chia _____________________________________________ mix together ingredients, cook in the pan with ghee and flip after 2 min! (+ I used a circle cookie cutter to make the pancakes round)

Happy Monday beautiful people. This chocolate coconut cluster recipe is almost too good to be healthy and this delicious. It’s also a fun family treat to provide for your little ones. Creating recipes like these motivate me to continue for my daughter as she grows and wants to help out in the kitchen. ___ She is now at the age where anything mama is eating, you better believe she’s right there mouth wide open, ready for a taste. It’s good and bad! I find myself more mindful at what I eat so I can be able to share with her. And I now realized that I may have to start hiding and eating in the closet on a bad day 😝 What about you guys? Do you ever find yourself hiding treats from your little ones to keep to yourself? Hehe ___ Here’s what you’ll need 5oz bag of unsweetened shredded coconut flakes 2 Tbsp of melted coconut oil 1/2 cup of almond butter 1 tsp of vanilla 1 cup of 85% dark chocolate Optional: coconut butter as topping ___ In a bowl mix everything except the dark chocolate throughly then set in fridge for 30 min. Melt the chocolate in double boiler, then form coconut clusters into balls. Take a spoon and dip cluster into chocolate then set in fridge for one hour and enjoy! ___ Tip: after you form your cluster balls you can place in freezer for 1 hour to harden completely so that you can a hard shell and soft inside. You know what’s great about having leftovers always frozen in your freezer?! After a long weekend or big parties or when you haven’t had a chance to go to the grocery (like us). You still have healthy options waiting for you! I’m going to talk to my hubby when he gets home and see if he wants to scratch this weeks meal plan and use this week as a pantry challenge week instead! I think we can do it! It would consist mostly of spaghetti spaghetti squash, Cornish hens, chicken and a pork butt with salads, Züpa Noma soups, egg drop soup, breakfast for dinner, and maybe even a chicken pot pie. That doesn’t even sound too bad does it?! I will let you all know if we do end up going to the grocery but as for today....I’m leaning towards nope, I’m 100% sure we can make it to Friday and be totally compliant! Here is a bag of frozen chili from the freezer I thawed in the fridge over the last two nights and am going to have for breakfast! How about you and your family? 🤕 TIPS FOR ADRENAL FATIGUE 🤕 . Adrenal Fatigue is definitely something that lots of people struggle with (though some people say it’s not real 🙄), but trust me, IT IS 😇 Lots of people suffer from it and don’t even realize it… . Basically, Adrenal Fatigue is when your adrenals are chronically worn out from dealing with too much, or too little, production of cortisol and adrenaline 📊 . While cortisol and adrenaline can be a good thing for stress, chronic over or under-production of them can really wear down your body in lots of different ways (feeling tired even after sleeping all night, tired all day but tons of energy at night, can’t focus, bad digestion, anxiety, and lots more…) 😑 . Anyway, here’s a few tips to help you get back on the right track and get your adrenals back to normal 👇🏼 . First off, you’ve got to STOP 🚫 . Doing lots of chronic cardio or HIIT exercises. These can be extremely stressful on the body, even if you happen to “feel good” after doing it 🏃🏼‍♀️ . Stayping up super late at night. Try to be in bed by 10pm (or earlier) if you can. Be an early bird, not a night owl 🦉 . Don’t skip meals or do long stints of fasting 😩 . Don’t expose your mind to super scary, loud, or heart-pumping things that really cause your adrenaline to ramp up. This could even be scary movies, arguments, loud music, sky-diving, or swimming with sharks - basically, just don’t be an adrenaline junkie for a while 🧗🏼‍♀️🎢 . Don’t drink tons of caffeine. Some people are way more sensitive than others, even getting lots of anxiety and stressed out from caffeine so switch to caffeine-free or herbal stuff instead ☕️ . Stop avoiding carbohydrates. Eating too little carbs can stress out your adrenal glands so be sure to eat lots of fruits, starches, whole grains, etc. 🍌🍠🍓🥔 . What to START doing ✅ . Switch out your intense exercises for more calming, easy stuff. Think yoga, walking, or anything less heart-pounding or stressful 🧘🏼‍♀️ . Go to be early, sleep and rest as much as you can. Rest, take some naps, and just relax 😴 . Eat more often, every few hours at best. Snacking throughout the day can help so much! 🍽 (cont’d below 👇🏼)
