ACORN SQUASH// Preheat oven to 425 and bake a whole acorn squash for 20-30 minutes or until very soft when poked with a folk. Remove and turn oven down to 350 degrees. Set acorn squash aside and allow to cool for a few minutes. Then cut in half, scoop out seeds and pour 1/4 cup of organic pumpkin soup in each of the centers. Place 1 ball of fresh organic mozzarella cheese into the center with the pumpkin soup. Put back in the oven and bake for 15 minutes or until cheese melts. We're having some beautiful weather in Oregon this week!🌲🌞 Perfect for grilling! Did cardio at the gym, went into work for bit this afternoon, and then we barbecued chicken legs covered in @saucylipsfoods zesty cilantro sauce for dinner. Along side some white sweet potato fries (also drizzled with sauce after roasting in oven) with a mixture of whole30 mayo + hot sauce for dipping and steamed broccoli. Since starting this September Whole30 I have been doing good with eating compliant and getting workouts in👊 It's time to up my game and also focus on drinking that H2O (I'm soooooo bad at this🙈), and improving my sleep. So, it's been a few weeks since my first #Whole30 . When it was over, I allowed myself to eat some off plan foods, and after just a few days of doing that, I couldn't wait to get back on plan. Moving forward, I've decided to eat a *mostly* #PaleoDiet - I just feel a million times healthier - more energy, better sleep, better mood, less anxiety, better focus. I also lost 10 lbs over the 30 days and another 7 lbs since then...YEAH! Not my primary goal in doing this but definitely a welcome side effect! 😉 It's been hard to keep up with the cooking, and at certain points during this experience I thought it wouldn't be sustainable long term, but I'm developing ways to plan and cook more efficiently and finding more recipes like this #Chimichurri #Shrimp #Brocolli Skillet that are quick and easy (recipe from PrimaveraKitchen.com). Pero aún así la fibra siempre va a ser importante y hay que conseguir un pan que contenga granos enteros y en tu caso que sea muy energético, lo podrías combinar mantequilla de maní con plátano o para acompañar tu desayuno como el huevo. . . . Loaded charcuterie board with meats, cheeses and nuts was yesterday’s late lunch. I really didn’t want to clean any kind of anything up, so this was the perfect meal. Started with all uncured meats; @applegate Pepperoni, soppressata, Milano salami, coppa and prosciutto. 💧Water is LIFE. Without H2O, life as we know it would cease to exist. On average, the body of an adult human being contains 60% water. Most of the water in the human organism is contained inside our cells. In order to maintain our bodies design, we must consume water-rich, alkaline forming foods to hydrate at a cellular level, and maintain our natural Ph balance. Human life requires a tightly controlled pH level in the serum of about 7.4 (7.0 being neutral/a slightly alkaline range of 7.35 to 7.45) to survive.- - When alkaline forming foods are metabolized, they will leave behind alkaline trace minerals, such as calcium, magnesium, and potassium. When degenerative, acid forming foods are consumed they break down and leave an acid ash residue of sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid. - Acids dehydrate, burn, inflame, break down tissues, joints, muscles and cause pain. En mi cocina no se esta desperdiciando en compras de ingredientes, vegetales ni esencias... eso es pecado, hay que utilizar lo que uno sabe que le queda tiempo corto de vida. Y estoy hablando de comida, los que se sintieron aludidos, haya ustedes. Por eso, decidí volver a intentar usar el wasabi, y el cebollín. Y para esto, me he querido encargar de preparar una punta de lomo que tenga protagonismo, y evocando a los hermanos japoneses, me decidí por un Wasabi Mustard Grilled Sirloin. Ingredientes: aceite de soya, cebollín, wasabi en polvo, algas sazonadas con wasabi, punta de lomo 450 gramos, jengibre, y pimienta negra. Se prepara el wasabi, agregando la mitad del volumen de agua que la del polvo, revuelve y listo. Al lomo primero se le hace una capa de pimienta. Luego, se embadurna de wasabi, y de laminas de jengibre. Se enciende el grill en fuego alto (350 grados C), y se ingresa el lomo. Se adiciona aceite de soya cuando este por cerrarse la cubierta y dejar sellar y cocinarse en termino 3/4, por 6 mins de cada lado, cerrando la cubierta. Al emplatar, agregar la soya preferiblemente con peperoncino, wasabi, cebollín, algas y ajonjoli. Facil de hacer, dificil de compartir (esta para comerselo todo!). Les recomiendo que lo traten de cortar en tiras, y comerselo estilo roll con las algas, con soya o wasabi... esto fue un kick de bocado!! 💧Water is LIFE. Without H2O, life as we know it would cease to exist. On average, the body of an adult human being contains 60% water. Most of the water in the human organism is contained inside our cells. In order to maintain our bodies design, we must consume water-rich, alkaline forming foods to hydrate at a cellular level, and maintain our natural Ph balance. Human life requires a tightly controlled pH level in the serum of about 7.4 (7.0 being neutral/a slightly alkaline range of 7.35 to 7.45) to survive.- - When alkaline forming foods are metabolized, they will leave behind alkaline trace minerals, such as calcium, magnesium, and potassium. When degenerative, acid forming foods are consumed they break down and leave an acid ash residue of sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid. - Acids dehydrate, burn, inflame, break down tissues, joints, muscles and cause pain. That slow absorption means the water in food stays in our bodies longer, and brings a multitude of additional benefits.- - One study, by researchers at the University of Aberdeen Medical School, found that the natural sugars, proteins, mineral salts and vitamins in water-rich fruits and vegetables means they also supplement the nutrients lost through exercise.
