Nothing beats a hearty and flavorful meatloaf any day of the week! I chose to make this dish with ground turkey to create variety for my weekly dinner menu and to make something that’s a little bit lighter but just as tasty! My favorite addition to this recipe is the subtle sweetness of the sautéed apples. 🍮 This Cheese Cake is something I will eat even when I'm not on AIP anymore! I can guarantee you would, too!
Indulging is very important, knowing the treat is nutrient dense is even more important. Kids, adults...hmm...pets? (didn't try, though😂) approved.
👩🏻🍳 Can't wait to share it next week.

My first homemade gummies ❤️. Not perfect but nice for the first attempt. I used sour cherries, lemon juice, raw honey and gelatin.
Best protein coffee yet. I woke up a bit wonky in the stomach today due to some nice allergies. Love when spring comes around...hate Houston allergies. Anyway back to the coffee. 1 pack of @paleoproproducts ancient cacao, 1 tbsp of maca powder, 1/2 tbsp of coconut oil, 1/2 tbsp of @artisanaorganics coconut butter, 1 scoop of @vitalproteins gelatin and 1 scoop of the collagen peptides. 1/2 a cup or so of @califiafarms toasted coconut almond milk and 2 tbsp of the coconut/almond milk creamer. Added 1/2 a cup of hot coffee and blended. So creamy so delicious and easy on my stomach.

Decided to take a break from my yogurt bowls this morning and to treat myself to these incredible double chocolate paleo pancakes 🙌🏼🥞🤗 Knowing me, I couldn't go without yogurt, so instead of whipped cream, I used yogurt as a topping! 🍦Happy almost Friday! ❤️
Today, I simply reheated pancakes that I had stored in the freezer a few weeks ago, then added toppings listed below. Here is the original recipe: in a bowl, whisk together 1 cup @bobsredmill paleo pancake mix, 2 @handsomebrookfarm pasture raised eggs, 1 scoop @primalkitchenfoods chocolate collagen fuel, 1 tbsp @harvestbay coconut oil, 1-2 tbsp cacao powder + 1 tsp @philosophielove cacao magic + 1/2 cup water +handful @enjoylifefoods dairy free mini chocolate chips. Make pancakes on a griddle. Top with @siggisdairy plain yogurt, + @oatmygoodness bad monkey granola then drizzled @woodstockfoods organic smooth PB + more chocolate chips 😋🥞

THE FOODIE GENERATION VS OUR SCIENTIFICALLY CORRECT ANCESTORS [PART ONE]
Do you call yourself a 'Foodie'? Chances are you're obese, overweight or at least out of shape.
I hated math so much back in high school. How ironic it is today that I tend to solve most of my physical challenges mathematically.😄 I had to cast my mind back to where we went wrong as a generation. My parents are not overweight, they do not work out and have never struggled with weight issues. My mother is a British size 8 and my Dad, who's in his 70s still looks dapper for his age. I'd love to share their pics, but they love their privacy☺. They are both in this group so hopefully they'll read this and grant me permission.
People always ask me, "How come your parents are not fat, yet you struggle with your weight?" Yea...good question, how come? I'll share what I concluded must be the reason after much head-scratching and deep thinking.
Our parents grew up in an era where their own parents did not believe in indulging children with food. In my parents time, they were made to believe that children who ate eggs grew up to become thieves. Rice was eaten only during festivals and of course chickens and goats were only killed to be eaten to celebrate a big event. I also recently saw screenshots from a book written in 1863 by Richard F. Burton; a 19th century British traveller, writer and translator. In the book, he described the feeding habit of the people of old Calabar (SWIPE LEFT TO SEE PIC 2). They usually ate a large breakfast made of poultry, fish, bush meat or sea food, stewed in a highly peppered palm oil soup and eaten with yams, plantains or mashed yams. Then they went to their farms to work. They returned between 4-5pm to eat a dinner similar to the meal they ate during breakfast before retiring to bed. Let's discuss this...
