Saturday morning smoothie bowls! I make smoothie bowls a few days a week for breakfast, and this one has been on repeat in my house the past month! Mermaid smoothie bowl: Ingredients: Coconut water Almond milk Banana Frozen strawberries, mango, pineapple Two scoops of spirulina. Blend all together and top with whatever you have on hand! My go to toppings are fresh fruit, unsweetened coconut shreds, cacao nibs, @thecoconutcult probiotic yogurt. This smoothie is super hydrating from the coconut water, and spirulina is a fantastic superfood. Plus, I honestly love the color of this smoothie. Sharing the easiest zucchini bread recipe today. My first attempt included the use of tigernut flour. This was my first time baking with it and honestly I did not like it. Tigernut is not a nut but a root vegetable, making the flour gluten free and paleo. It also has a very gritty almost sand like texture to it and did not lend well to a bread. So I tossed my mini loaves 😭 and remade the recipe with just almond flour. Have you tried tigernut flour? I’m going to keep experimenting but would love any tips. . Paleo Chocolate Zucchini Avocado Bread . 2 cups almond flour 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/2 cup cocoa powder 1 cup shredded zucchini Pinch of Salt 1 tsp Vanilla 2 eggs 1 extra ripe avocado 1/3 cup maple syrup 1/4 coconut sugar 1 applesauce fruit pouch Chocolate chips for top of loaves . Combine your wet ingredients in a bowl and your dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Combine both in a stand mixer and mix until avocado bits are gone. My first breakfast is usually on the lighter side because I like to have second breakfast shortly after ... I eat like a hobbit. I also tend to have a bigger appetite earlier in the day vs. later. I used to try and “hold off” because I had just eaten first breakfast but but if I’m hungry an hour later, I EAT! There are no rules about how far apart your meals need to be or how many meals you can have in a day. EveryBODY is different, do what works for you.

This is the cleanest brownie you’ll ever make, but I promise taste is not compromised! No refined sugar, no chocolate chips, no oil, dairy, or gluten. —————- On their own, the brownies are noticeably not sweet, but with chocolate protein frosting they are pure perfection. —————— Preheat oven to 350F & parchment line a 9x9 baking pan, set aside. In a large bowl, Combine: • 1 c tahini • 3/4 c organic unsweetened Apple sauce • 1 t real vanilla extract • 2 large eggs ——————— In a smaller bowl combine before adding to wet ingredients: • 1/3 c Dutch processed cocoa powder • 1 T coconut flour • 1/2 t baking soda • 1/4 t salt ——————— Then fold in: • 1/3 c toasted & chopped walnuts ——————— Pour batter into prepared baking pan, using rubber spatula to spread evenly. Its becoming a wee bit ritualistic getting up early, driving to the capital absorbing the high volume of varying nationalities soaring through the busy city seeing all the different faces and looks and shapes of people from all walks of life to buy about 80% of my weeks food from local producers. Part of the beauty of making the effort each week to go to the farmers market is you actually get to interact with people and have conversations instead of opting for the social recluse choice of self service. It's nice the vendors actually recognise you and make an effort to engage in conversation and keep you well informed on what they're doing to expand and build their brand. Highlight of my week?? Ethiopian coffee 😊 why? Because coffee originated in Ethiopia and was then taken world wide by the Dutch (I think) something very decent about Ethiopian coffee maybe it's the cliché of it being the origin of coffee but none the less I'm all for the placebo effect 😂.

After long break I finally find some time for very easy recipe which I was planing to make for a while. These paleo maple and bacon bites are just yummy! (I absolutely love bacon and maple syrup) PALEO MAPLE AND BACON BARS: - 125g coconut flour - 100g coconut oil - 1 organic egg - 2g sea salt - 5 strips of organic bacon - 25g coconut sugar - 40g maple syrup Preheat oven to 160 degrees and prepare small baking tray with parchment paper. Cook bacon until crisp, crumble with knife and place into bowl, then stir in coconut sugar and maple syrup and mix well. In other bowl, mix together coconut flour, coconut oil and sea salt. Mixture will be crumbly. Put it into baking tray and press with spatula into an even layer. Spread bacon mixture over dough and then bake in the oven for 25minutes. I usually eat red meat and offal a couple of times a week. More than that and some of my symptom return. Less than that, and I pretty much collapse. Red meat is definitely an indispensable part of my diet, but not something that I can eat each day. My body doesn’t do well with chicken so that’s unfortunately completely out for me, however I do great with fish. The more, the better. Usually fatty small fish, such as sardines, herring, anchovies. Sometimes salmon or other larger fish. Thankfully eggs are ok, and once in a while chickpeas, quinoa and gluten free oats (when my body asks) give me the remaining proteins that I need. I’m definitely not following a strict paleo or AIP diet, I simply eat intuitively, by constantly listening to my own body and finding what works best for me. AIP and paleo on their own didn’t help me nearly as much as intuitive eating is. Today’s lunch - meatballs, sautéed beet greens, lemon turmeric cauliflower ‘rice’, baked cabbage and broccoli. Nothing tastes better on our 12 wedding anniversary than a paleo banana bread 🍞 😋 Throw 4 bananas, 4 eggs, 1/2 cup of homemade almond butter and 4 Tbsp coconut oil to a blender and blitz until it becomes smooth. Then add 1/2 cup of almond flour, 1 Tbsp cinnamon, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp vanilla extract and a pinch of sea salt in the blender and mix well. Pour it all to a silicone loaf pan and place it in a preheated oven and bake for 55-60 minutes at 350 degrees and there you have it, yummmmm 😋 Miski ei maitse meie 12. pulma-aastapäeval paremini kui ise tehtud banaanileib 😋🍞 Viska blenderisse 4 banaani, 4 muna, 125 ml ise tehtud mandlivõid ja 4 spl kookosõli ja purusta kõik ühtlaseks. However there are a few dishes that are actually super easy to make and Thai curry is one of them. Just 4 components: Veggies. Protein. Curry paste. Coconut milk. Super simple. • THAI CHICKEN GREEN CURRY | 1 small jar Thai Kitchen green curry paste, 1.5 cans whole fat coconut milk, thinly sliced organic chicken breast, onion, string beans, bell pepper, carrots, mushrooms... Throw all the ingredients into a pot and simmer until chicken and veggies are tender. Garnish with chopped scallions and cilantro. This a one-pot, no-frying, minimal-mess-and-dishes kinda meal! • DAIKON NOODLES| spiralize 1 large daikon radish, rinse. Sauté on medium-high in a large pan and cook until al dente. About 10ish min. Oh hey! 👋🏼 just wanted to introduce myself! I’m AnnMarie, 24, Phx AZ! 🌵 ~ My favorite moments are those spent outside. My boyfriend and I have an affinity for camping, and go often. When we first met two summers ago, we went 10 weekends in a row, literally. We’d get off work on Friday and roll right out of town! Let’s just say, that summer we fell in love, zero laundry was done. We hike, but also lounge in our hammock, read, and make meals on our little propane stove. 🌲 ~ I’m a lifelong foodie. Like, food obsessed. That person who yelps restaurants for vacations weeks in advance. I have always been health conscious, but as I’ve learned more about nutrition, I’ve come to find the healthiest meals are cooked at home. I’d consider cooking a passion and can now turn my food obsession into a vehicle for healing. I think there’s something about working within restrictions that allows for so much more creativity. 👩🏻‍🍳 ~ Oh, restrictions. That’s what brings me here to you. After 7 years of chronic migraines, and 4 years of debilitating fatigue, chronic pain, muscle pain, neuropathy, GI distress, nausea, and dozens of random troubling/mysterious symptoms - I am just recently starting to find answers through functional medicine. Less than a year ago, I read a book on chronic pain and came across GF/DF, dug deep into research and completely overhauled my diet, which was actually decent at the time but had some major flaws. Now, I’m healing myself slowly but surely with food and turning my health around. 🤞🏼 ~ I deeply love musicals and all things performing arts. 🎭 Though I was never a prodigy, I did grow up participating in and surrounded by the arts - plays, vocal performance, dance (my favorite was ballet, duh). My mom teaches piano and most people in my family have a real talent for music. These days, I mostly get down to musical soundtracks while cleaning my apartment and go to shows whenever we have the opportunity! 🎼 ~ The online community for healing has been KEY for me in my process thus far, and I would love to connect with more of you to build that sense of community. Making life Easy with this Low Carb recipe below 🍳 540 Calories not a cereal insight —— 540 Calories Protein 35 Carbs 10 Fat 35 Serves 1 —— 👉🏼 Ingredients 3 Eggs free range / Pasture raised 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 tsp coconut oil 50 grams wild sockeye salmon (I used @leapwildsalmon ) 1 Avocado Splash of Lemon Juice Fresh Basil Nigella Seeds —— If you want to reduce the calories. 👉🏼 3 Eggs 👉🏼 1/2 Avocado —— 👉🏼 Recipe. 1. Heat pan to medium heat. Add the cumin seeds to release their essential oils for a 2 Mins 2. Add the coconut oil 3. Whisk the eggs then add to the pan. 4. Slowly fold in the sides to the middle in a thick , clockwise fashion. 5. Turn off heat just when 80% cooked or set. The residue heat will continue cooking the eggs. 6. Add the Avocado 7. Add the wild smoked salmon. 8. You can make cakes, you can make cookies, and breads, and muffins! 🤗 All the good stuff and it actually doesn't taste like cardboard. ~~~ People often think about the food they they're missing out on if they go healthy. They think all they do is naw on a carrot while they watch everyone eat donuts around them🍩 >🥕 ... That's not it! Healthy food can be Soo good and often times is better than the stuff we like to call "food". ~ ~ ~ I was just thinking today... In our day in age, many people when they say they're hungry, they'll immediately look at a pizza, or a pastry, or something sweet or full of carbs and believe that suffices they're hungry appetite. Where have we gone wrong that we allow a donut to be our daily dose of nutrients!?!?!?🍩=🥕👍 Let's sit down and think about this. If your bodies crying out for food...
