Sun, sand & sea - what more could I have wanted for spring break!?🌊🌞🌴 ~
Tenerife was absolutely stunning. For those of you that know me well, you all know I’m a city girl at heart but getting away from the hustle & bustle of London for a week was totally worth it. The island is home to El Tiede - a volcano that erupted over 100 years ago. Situated right in the center of the island, the volcano is surround by little fishing villages where many natives call home and beach towns that attract tourists year round. The bungalow we stayed at was in such a beautiful complex lined with palm trees and complete with three pools (😍!!!). From clear water beaches to days sat by the pool, Tenerife is such a lovely place, but I do have to say that my favorite part of the island is the vivacious culture. The Spanish influence combined with the friendly & easy-going locals makes for a wonderful atmosphere. PS if you find yourself in Tenerife or any of the other Canary Islands, try their local delicacy - Canarias Paella, it’s so delicious & I promise you won’t regret it!!

That amazing time....I backpacked through Dominican Republic with my @angelamarie1023
We found authenticity in the streets of Santo Domingo where musicians played on acoustic instruments.
We bussed it to our Airbnb not knowing if we were heading the right way.
We cruised through the peninsula where Las Terrenas is located with a Spanish architect who was building resorts. She was kind enough to take us around and explore herself. I can't believe I found an awesome travel buddy and an amazing friend. All thanks to Loyola and the first international studies class I decided to take.

Some people are afraid to travel this way to not know if they will eat punctual meals , or have to hike to get to their 'hotel,' whether they will have an A/C unit in their rooms. All I can say is everyone should try it once!
