WELL RESTED | here I am, feeling fresh and alert after an accidental and miraculous 12 hours sleep! 🙌🏼 we’ve spent a lovely weekend first of all, dating on Saturday night sans kids - our first date night in nearly a year! Sunday was spent as a family, cycling around Pollok Park (I didn’t cycle, if you’ve seen my stories you’ll know why!). We were all exhausted after it but I was looking forward to an evening on my laptop getting some plans underway when I too fell asleep while putting Ada down! And that was how I managed to inadvertently catch up on the precious sleep that I’ve desperately needed. New woman. For reals.
We see it all on the school walk! Some serious hissing action from this annoyed cygnet this am! He eventually took himself into the pond where the dog couldn’t run around him anymore. 2 cygnets have flown the nest, 2 still in the big pond with mom n dad and this guy holding his own in the smaller pond. Apparently when it’s time the cygnets are shown the way to independent living. Sad to see them go!
’Suburban Nights’ is a fascinating series of paintings by artist Paul Regan exploring the deserted and dimly lit streets and parks of the North London suburbs at night-time. Many of his night scenes have already been shown as part of prestigious group shows, including the Royal Academy and the Mall Galleries.
Paul works from his studio at home in Barnet, North London. He is also currently a Director at the Insight School of Art in Whetstone.
