An open road and two thousand miles
So many memories so many smiles.
We piled in the car, and didn’t look back
For two weeks away with #HitTheRoadJack
We started the trip at the end of the Land
With hiking and surfing and covered in sand.
We then moved on to Salcombe in Devon
On a scale of 1 to 10 I’d rate it 11!
The clear blue sky and original store
I wish we stayed longer! There’s lots to explore!
We held a Stay Sassy class when we were there
We wiggled our hips and whipped all our hair.
Then packed up our bags and drove up a hill
Saw uncle Trevor and my Auntie Gill!
Moved onto Exeter and walked around
By the cathedral and heard the bells sound.
Then onto Exmouth, the Jurassic coast,
The beaches were pretty, a view I like most.
Newquay was fun, it was Tunes in the Dunes
Music, the beach and kids with balloons.
We kayaked in Dartmouth and spotted a seal,
Then stopped at a chippy for a yummy meal.
We drove through a field to camp out in Bath
Two girls in a yurt, now that was a laugh!
The Cotswolds then called and we went for a drive.
We found an old sweet shop, ok maybe five.
The model village so small and so sweet
we found gorgeous places to stop and to eat.
A brand spanking new Land Rover we borrowed
And had an experience driving off road,
We went down ditches, and hills and in water
My dad would be proud of his ‘boy racer’ daughter!
Next stop was Wales for an epic zip wire
We would’ve hit planes if we’d gone any higher!
The things seen and done have been so breathtaking.
I’ve loved all the memories we have been making.
The best of Britain isn’t far away
Explore your own country is all I will say!
and I will be going back
And it is all thanks to #HitTheRoadJack
